I use both power pro and suffix(yellow and green). The more you use them,they will fade lighter at some point. Im not close to some reels now,but ill get pics up. It still fishes the same though.

I can cast a 1/4 oz pretty far. BUT -- it require the spool control to be set pretty loose,which i dont recommend just learning with this reel. A well educated thumb is also required on a loose spool control, which only comes with time practicing and fishing.

Did you put any cheap mono on the reel first as backing? If it only has the 125 of braid,you need more line for sure. Respool the braid back on the original spool. Then use mono as backing,wind it on tight leaving enough room for about half of the 125yds of braid. Put a peice of electrical or masking tape on the spool to hold mono. Then spool your braid (60yds) on. But remember to spool it very tight on the reel,to help keep the braid from moving on you. Fill reel to about 1/8 inch from the top of the spool.

Just goes to prove,that if one chooses what works best for them,it will work. Also,if any one of the big pros have been using them,sales would skyrocket. Most companys would offer one,built better,and at competitive pricing. I bought my wife an Omega, and she does very well . I just keep fresh line on both spools,and keep it clean,never had an issue. Handles 5lb bass easy. You can get a 33 cheap,just to see if you can make use of it in your lineup. The biggest keys are keeping fresh line on. One other is to add alittle loctiteBLUE to the screw that holds the handle on,the screw works loose? The saying that they are for amatuers, well i guess Woo Daves is an amatuer ???

Well done sir. Esspecially the part of using actual leader material. I do use 8 an 10pd leader also. Seguar BLUE LABEL Also the FG knot works extremely well...........

I have the 6ft7 ML. Its a nice rod. And you didnt hurt that fish any. Trust me,it no different that guy flippin them into the boat and floppin around on the carpet

Weve been buying line for decades. The line worked fine then and now. This precision wound thing is just marketing to me. Now if you get a spool that looks like its been spooled by hand, id pass on it

I also have found, that actual leader material far outlast regular fluoro. Yes,theres alot less on a spool, but it is made different and lasts longer. I use to believe there was no difference. Until my friend and guide for 35yrs in florida,schooled me on the difference,with on the water proof. The only brand i use is Seagur BLUE LABEL

Just test the fit first, to make sure the foot will fit under the rods hood. Zipties will be you safety nett?

Usually a broke reel foot does not end well. Hopefully the epoxy will hold. Youll know right away when you put it back on the rod. You might try zipties,wrapped through the bottom of the frame,and around the rod handle. Like the do on some combos to keep the rod an reel together. Good luck to you sir. The zipties will have to go across each other. You can see what im talking about at walmart on the cheaper combos.

What Gives here? Havin a bad day? I agree,there are alot of these posts. But how many braid to flouro, backing my reel,etc posts have been up just in 2 weeks? Im probably guilty of it too,but those who care to answer,do so,and its appreciated. I guess some of us arent as smart as you sir. But i do appreciate your knowledge on other posts.
