  1. I also just build my own. Cost of materials isnt bad and will out last any store bought rack:)
  2. I had 2 of them. I had 3 of the clips break on me,within a week. I wasnt rough on them. I got them just for neds, zinkers etc. I went back to my binder because it took up less space also.
  3. Seaguar Blue Label, and i have been using Off Shore Angler Extreme. I picked up the off shore with a gift card for 7.99 on sale. I have not had any issues with it either.
  4. Sounds like it been a good friend to ya. Id definatley send it to Mike to see what he can do. Shimano may or maynot have the parts, but Mike may have other resourses that do, Hope you get it back in your arsenal soon
  5. Ive been using hi-vis for many years. Mainly, because i can see my line better,(aging eyes). But also as Turkey sandwich talked about in his reply. This past summer ive used hivis yellow(PP) and hivis (GLISS) pink. I didnt notice and difference in catching fish(that im aware of), but that has always been a debatable topic I just have more confidence in it, because i can see it for movement,in the waters i fish. On cloudy days i use the bright pink gliss, with a 2-6ft leader of seaguar leader material, on my finess spinning rods. My baitcasters, are all yellow, with or with out seaguar leader material. Good luck in your search:)
  6. THIS^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Ive had the rod saver set up for ten years. Work very well.
  7. Thanks for your time guys. I think i may go in and clean house. Merry Christmas
  8. Does anyone use Blakemore Bucktail Pro underspins? I received these as a gift. The store has all sizes and colors for 1.25 each, marked down from 4.98. What are your opinions on these, good or bad. For the price i might invest in more, but wanted to get opinions here first. Thanks for your time everyone...............
  9. The only one they still sell are the jumbo. They no longer sell the goliath, which i dont understand.
  10. I wont leave, dont care how hot or cold whatever. Sooner or later they will bite.
  11. Same here
  12. I must have got lucky with the dicks sale. I made two different orders to get 2-300yd spools of gliss line, at 40% off. Done by 12;59. recieved both orders at 930 am today
  13. Try the SSR5 &SSR7
  14. I went this past saturday. Very windy,61degrees. I threw my regulars an nothing. I picked up my ned rod, with 10pd powerpro ss line. I caught a 4.10,4.36, and allot of smaller one. I had to fish it extremly slow, but the pbj color was the deal with a 1/16oz jig.
  15. Stick with the actual leader material. Takin the cheap way out may cost you the fish of a lifetime. Dont chance it. I was givin a 2day course of on the water fishing using both. And yes its worth the extra money.
  16. Im certain, that these are the rods, that B.A.S,S is allowing in there tournaments in 2018.
  17. Looks in better condition, than i see people use today. Maybe a good hand washing, with a good cleaner and a wax job would do it. If so id be prepping an redoing the trailer.
  18. Will they last long as zman, no. Will they catch fish yes. Ive cut the 6inch in half on the robos, and had good luck with it. Use as light as weighted jighead as possible is your situation, at that time.
  19. When it comes down to it,its totally your call. I repainted a aluminum boat. I can tell you that to get good results, the time spend in prepping,is well worth the work. As it will show in the final paint job. I was told back then to sand, wire wheel on 2 drills, then wiped clean. I had to put a special primer on before the final paint. Why did i go to all that trouble some asked? Bcause it was my dads old boat.Didnt matter what it cost to me. Its held up wonderfully over the last 15yrs. Minus some scratches etc from use.
  20. Kietech Crazy Flapper 2.8 , have worked very well.
  21. Ive been using this one,but replaced the hook with a lip gripper. Its worked great for me,and spot on accurate.
  22. It really depends on the size of the hook. Actually i use the regular Swing IMPACT 4in, and the Easy shiners on 1/4 oz. They work well and are cheaper. On larger jigs, etc i use 3.8 and 4.8 fat impacts.
  23. Same here ,but i stick with the same size on jerkbaits.

Ive used clear spinnerbait/jig skirt rings before. Alittle small but worked just fine, using the pliers that are used to open up the ring.
  25. I highly suggest a Lews Mach speed stick, fro TW. 79.99. A 6FT7IN, M/L, 1/16--1/4oz. I have the president 6920 on it with 10lb braid on one set up and 15lb braid on the other.
