  1. Go pro has some software you can dl from their site. Not bad for doing beginner editing. They have templates too to work from.
  2. These are awesome. Thanks for sharing
  3. Gopro has a new dual wall charger now. Getting one myself from Santa
  4. Yea you can use something like that for 3 techniques. Fast action rod. Reel ratio should be 6:x:1 or a 7.x.1. Low profile or round would be your preference.
  5. If its musky specific its going to be too stiff for most bass applications. You can probably throw some big jerkbaits or bucktails with it but its probably best left for a ski/pike set up. 6' to 6'6 musky rods were a staple a decade ago but thar has all changed with guys using 8 to 9 foot xxh rods now.
  6. When I take a picture I could care less what anyone thinks. It's my trophy book of memories, not yours. Ill remember the size and weights of the significant ones. I like to see the details and beauty of the fish. I don't care about how big my Nikes are compared to it. Fishing is only a competition when you're in a tournament. They don't stop to take pictures in tournanents because scales don't lie.
  7. Same as noted before. MH/F action rod is what I use for soft hollow belly swimbaits, its the same rod I throw spinnerbaits and swim jigs on. You don't want to hinder the casting by using a broomstick on a 1/2oz or less bait.
  8. You only need a 7'+ MH to H rod for those. (assuming you have maybe a jig/frog rod already?) No reason to get a new set up for a swim bait of that size.
  9. If you were to build your own jig on his site, you can make that happen. The stuffer pack was just his top 5 production line. I got mine today too and like the rest, they're always awesome looking. Now we just need to wait until May to go fish them. well for me anyway......
  10. I have a few floating SK jerkbaits. They're the shiner series, and they float up really fast. The hooks on them should be changed out but if you're looking for something to come back up to surface fast you can take a peak that those. To be honest I don't even know if they make the exact ones I have. I believe I picked them up on discount at Cabelas and quite possibly the current KVD Jerkbait took it's place. I don't see them listed in the 2014 catalog.
  11. Weight of the bait is more crucial to know than length. Some 5" baits are softplastics at 1/4 - 3/4 oz and some are hard up to 1.5oz. Got any idea what baits you plan to throw? Speedbead is a very knowledgeable dude for swimbaiting and always offers sound advice. Perhaps he'll chime in on the subject as well.
  12. Brian. here is the link, its Page 16 of the ad if this doesn't go direct. http://www.theblackfriday.com/ads/cabelas/cabelas-black-friday-ad.php?pn=16 120 savings!
  13. I cant remember if it's Bass Pro or Cabelas but one of them is having a sale on Black Friday for a pretty good reduction. I'd rather stab my eyes with pencils than go out on Black Friday but if you have that shopping warrior spirit, go for it.
  14. Did he change the hooks out to get it to suspend or it just suspended as a stock item? Interested to hear your results Blue.
  15. On the bright side, we now have another 2 page discussion of micro guides with the same info. From my experience, there is no major difference other than the weight of the rod. even at that, it's not a make or break situation to HAVE to have it or not. It's all preference and the best suggestion is to fish one to make a decision.
  16. The brakes are internal, so you need to open the reel up. That "circle thing" is the tension knob, like all the low profiles have. Once you figure out how to set the brakes, it should resolve your issue.
  17. What club are you a part of?
  18. Try a Manns -1 Minus. Awesome little crank! This was my fall in love bait this season that Snakehead Whisperer referred to me way back in Spring. If not the Mann's go with Numb suggestion of a spinner bait or try a swim jig from Siebert Outdoors.
  19. Just thankful I am able to go and fish. Not everyone has that luxury in life. And like WW2 said, get to go see the family when I'm done.

I think when the site crashed my post was deleted. I was complimenting you on your rat, turned out great. I also stated that if you don't have one already, you should invest in a Dremel kit for carving. Santy Clause might bring you one if you've been good. Post that shad when you finish it up.
  21. This is true. Solid dude!
