  1. You got any spare brakes for the Citica 200E? I lost one in the boat this season and got the reel on a trade with no box/parts. I'll reimburse you with a stamp if you're willing to part with one.
  2. Goose, What knobs are you putting on the PQ and is the handle itself stock? They look like the newer Shimano CI4 knobs to me. I like them and after reading 5 pages of this post, I didn't see if this was asked. If so I do apologize, I must have read over it.
  3. Here's the only pair of smallies I bagged back in May of 2012. No CPR though, they came home with me.
  4. I actually picked one up myself. Should be here tomorrow. I got the high speed for a second froggin set up. Ive seen enough praise on this site to be confident in trying one out. If it doesn't suit me I'm sure it'll be easy to sell off here.
  5. You buying? It's going to be -6 tonight here.
  6. Did you get a chance to fish it yet?
  7. No. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can make it work for Spring.
  8. I can look at this stuff for hours in amazement. As long as Wayne is here to interpret what the hell we're seeing. Technology is freakin awesome.
  9. I use a Falcon Spinner/Buzzbait box. Holds I think 15-18 of each. It's enough for my selection of both lures, as I don't throw them a whole lot.
  10. I hope that my comment wasn't taken as a jab to you or anyone else with ADD/Adhd. Not my intention at all so for anyone reading this thread I do apologize. For all I know, I probably have it too and just never got it "verified" by the Doc.
  11. Not at all. Spray it on the night before or a few hours before you go out and when you spool up initially. It'll make that line nice and silky smooth.
  12. You'll have to suffice with some sort of tripod mount then and carry it. Some of the tripod mounts can fold up pretty compact. You should look at a photography store that has a big selection. The head mount would be the least maintenance for you or you can look into that new Jaw's clamp except I don't know where the heck you'd put it unless you're around trees all the time. Do not get the chest mount, please. I can't stand watching fishing videos of the chest mount. I had thought about getting the head mount myself, except I am constantly looking around when I fish. Like I have ADD or something but i'm usually looking for movement in the water or other stuff. I'd probably have some terrible footage.
  13. I don't use mono that much but have used Suffix Seige and Trilene XL. #1 Spool yourself, or learn how to. I don't want to downgrade anyone's abilities but the places that spool for you, tend to not do a great job at it. #2 get some KVD LL and apply it to your line. That will help you a lot.
  14. Apparently his shad gut issue wasn't that big of a problem since that was his 1 and only post. Very odd indeed. You would think he'd take it up with the old man and not a bunch of fishing knuckleheads online.
  15. 1. Fish with WRB or Big O for Largemouth 1a. Move to Cali or Texas 2. Fish with Dwight for Smallmouth 2a. Move to PA 3. Don't fish with me. 3a. For the love of God, do not move to Illinois. Location is key for monster bass. Most importantly, HAVE FUN!
  16. Hard to please a guy throwing a Deps 250 SS, no? In all seriousness I notice the same thing. Glide baits definitely seem to work better at the 6+ sizes.
  17. That line through soft swimbait has really nice swimming action. Think I'm going to add it to the list! The never ending list that is!
  18. They also have some great deals on PP braid for those of you who use it. That site you can find some solid steals there, Rage has been up there for a few months now.
  19. Looks really similar to the R2S S-Waver. So I'd assume it performs the same or close, but you never know. Could be a hunk of junk. I really like the S-waver so if this is an even better option, that's a plus!
  20. Thanks! Added to my list.
  21. Thanks for the email Slone. Going to have to spoil myself soon outside of buying fishing stuff.
  22. They also have the barbless only rule above Highway 10? (northern zone) through June. Bass fishing up there is really great anyway because most of the locals are targeting other species for the most part. Eye's mainly, Pike, Ski, perch. Rarely do I ever talk to locals that are specifically fishing for bass. Maybe just an odd occurrence for me. Experience the same conversations when you head up there?
  23. 5 feet from shore is no different than 5 feet from your boat. A catch is a catch, congrats! Post that 10lber when she hits!
  24. That's a great idea. Everyday a page of topics get's pushed down (mostly by new topics of something discussed 3000 times already) and often some of the sponsors deals/offers are left unseen by probably a lot of people.
  25. This is exactly why a number of northern states implement a bass season. To give them a chance to be protected as they spawn. Often, the spawn carries out of that time frame and other times it doesn't. I think that it is more of an impact on the northern states where ice can speed up or slow down the spawn seasons and the fact that bass aren't as heavily populated as some southern waters.
