Quantum Reels
I've owned a couple Quantum reels and while I prefer my Shimanos the most I still like the Q's. I use a Smoke hlpt100 for pitching/punch and a lower end KVD reel for lipless and squarebills. Both are really smooth and so far have been great reels. I have no further plans to expand beyond these two but I always check out their new products just to see what they have going on. I have yet to experience a bad product with them. I still have an old Shaw Grigsby SGA100 baitcaster as a back up. It was my first bc ever and has caught 100's of fish.

Go Pro And Youtube Problems
I'd have to agree its probably something to do with iMovie. I use the GoPro software with no issues. I'm unfamiliar with iMovie so I can't help any further. Let us know what you figure out.

Go Pro And Youtube Problems
Did you change the setting on you tube to display in 720hd? Also it can take a bit sometimes for the hd quality to finalize even after it fully uploads. Send us the link.

Shipping Rods
Home depot. PVC pipe. Just secure them in there with tape or stuff them so there is 0 movement.

Ms Slammer Color???
Take your current bait and color the bottom black. If you think about it, on a topwater bait the Bass are looking up primarily. They're going to see the underside first. In low-light/cloudy or dark conditions, black will contrast the sky the best. If you decide to keep it white, maybe take 5 dollars suggestions and add some green and orange striping or coloration to mimic perch colors. Or yellow it out for walleye... you don't technically need to have a second slammer but having more than 1 is always good too.

New Swimmy :)
I have tippy toed into the bigger (expensive) swimbaits in the past year and fish primarily in Wisconsin. I'm throwing all my stuff on leaders for the most part, especially anything in the $65+ range. Don't gamble unless money is of no object to you. You should be more worried about pike than musky as they are far more abundant and more vicious. I've lost a number of softbody swimbaits (like Hudds) to dinky pike (18"-22"). I can live with that, but I'd be furious if some of my more expensive stuff was taken. My inventory is peanuts compared to some of these guys. If you want to try a tieable leader material, look at Cortland Toothy Critter leader material. Otherwise a good fluoro or titanium will keep your baits protected. Just make sure with jerk or glide style baits you're not using pre-made leaders with swivels. I agree with Speed. There are just some baits that won't get the same action so it's best to just suck it up and throw it as intended. We fish risky waters up here so keep that in mind.

Any pictures? The reports have been dead around here. Congrats on a great day!

Big Swimbait Bass
Good fish man! What was the length on it? MIBassin, Mattlures Strong Perch is what you should look for. Hard as heck to find though. I've been looking myself but rarely see the perch colors available. Usually Walleye are the ones that I see pop up from time to time.

Dropshot Baits
SK KVD Dream Shot is probably one of my favorites. They're not the most durable but they have great action and if you can get a few fish on one and then set it aside with some Mend-It to put them back together, a single pack can go a long way. I just need to keep the d**n pike from swiping off the last 1/3 of the bait...

New Rod And Reel - Need Some Advice...
Well, your price points are going to be requested by a lot of people so fill that in. If you want an all around BC rod then look into a MH/F model of the brand you like best. Same goes for the reel, a 6.x:1 or 7.x:1 will be best for all around uses.

New Swimmy :)
So, are you throwing it with or without a leader? I'm sure the toothy critters would love the donation, lol.

Wright & Mcgill Rick Clunn Rod Defect?
There is a reason these rods were liquidated... I am sure if you contact them and submit a picture, they will replace it. Dicks is pretty good about replacing broken/defective items as well. Might want to start there before you hit up W&M. If it were me, I'd get my credit back and apply it to something a little better...

Braided Line Without A Leader....amazed At Results...
I've always used straight braid and fish a lot of gin clear water. The only time I hesitate is around a lot of rock. I catch plenty with no leader and I feel it's more of a confidence thing.

So Let's Hear It! What For Christmas??
I got myself 2 Dobyns rods 766c and 705cb glass. A PQ 7.0 and a bunch of misc tackle uncluding a few nice swimbaits. My fiancee got me a new spooling station and some caffeine shads. My belated xmas gift will be a HB SI unit. Just need to pull the trigger on an old unit or a new one.
