Small Lake Swimbait Question
I finally managed to get a baby hardgill male, in SS. I agree with Speed, check this bait out. Even the Mattlures U2 Gill would be a great choice and swim it slow on the bottom.

Aquatic Verses Terrestrial Prey
Flip N The Bird is a topwater frog style bird bait you can try. It's really not much different than a hollow body frog.

Curado Gone!!
Great point. Certainly don't want a downgrade of quality in components.

Curado Gone!!
The Curado 50 stopped at the E series. They sell used for what they retailed for or more unless youre lucky. I have Chronarch 50e's. I was just stating a curado base priced 50 would be great and would sell nicely being they're a popular size. I'd like a different color than green. Maybe a graphite color like the Cores. I just don't have cash to by multiple Cores in 50 size and I think a ~$160 50 size would fly off the shelves.

Curado Gone!!
Hope a 50 comes out and they don't jack the prices.

Is It Gawdy?
Fishing jerseys are 100% polyester moisture wicking material. The reason they can have dozens of colors and logos laid out on them through a process called dye sublimation. Arguably the most comfortable material to fish in. Its pretty much the same as your cycling jersey minus the spandex. So don't let that deter you from ever wanting to wear one.
-
Is It Gawdy?
Why is it ok to wear a football jersey of your favorite team but not a jersey of your favorite fishing site? Its just clothes...
-
Is It Gawdy?
Go for it. Its why they're there. Besides who cares what anyone thinks but you. Wear it with pride.

Shimano Handle Back Play
I have slight back play on my Curado 300 DSV. I've tried everything to fix it but never been able to. The reel still performs great. The only nuisance is when you have your lure up on the holder it never stays tight. None of my other 6 Shimano baitcasters have any play at all.

Lunkerville Season 8 - Thursdays @ 2Pm Est On Nbc Sports!
This is great to hear! Thank you! Because if I have to sift through 3,000 listings of hunting shows anymore to find a decent fishing show I'm going to go berserk. I have nothing against hunting at all but holy crap you guys get spoiled with shows. I'm not ponying up for WFN with Comcast, they can go.... But, it is the new year and hopefully the pre-spring fishing shows start back up between NBCSports and Outdoor Channel.

Strange Thought But I Was Curious
This was my ride into work. The snow doesn't bother me, but other drivers do. Even when it rains people freak out like their cars are going to just spin out like crazy. I also think it's stupid how the people around here who have lived their entire lives get shockingly surprised when we get a big snow fall. It happens.......every.........year.

Need Tips For Fishing Hollowbelly Swimbaits (Swimtubes)
I use a Gamakatsu screw lock swimbait hook. Usually in the 5/o range for a SK Shadalicious 4.5" swimbait. This is a lure that when nothing is producing, almost ALWAYS will hook up to a bass or pike for me. I actually use sexy shad and gizzard shad colors in my lake and there are no shad present. The great thing is that you can fish them anywhere. They go through weeds great. I use a nice steady retrieve, sometimes with a stop and go to make it a bit more erratic. Rarely do I burn them or keep them sub surface. That usually doesn't produce much for me. Throwing them in sparse lily pads is killer too. you can bang them off the pad stems and they just flat our produce. I'm actually quite shocked you've said you can't hook up on these. Don't give up because they're probably one of the deadliest lures you can fish. If I had a frog rod and a hollowbelly swimbait set up, I'd be fine fishing those two and nothing else.
