For topwater I like all black or all white based on light conditions. But if you want white and black try it and see.

White for low light?

I like the Spro Bronzeye Popper.....pretty much any green based color to match the frogs around here.

I had my personal best outing ever with one. Used a spinnerbait with some success for a while, then switched to a Bronzeye popper the rest of the evening and killed em' on a shallow flat. They must've been schooling and hitting near the surface because nearly every cast had a fish on it. It was ethereal....I'll probably never have another night like that again....but I'm crossing my fingers.

Try em' out......if you don't like them, send them my way I'll take them off your hands :)

I like the SK Sexy frog, and the Booyah pad crashers. Every color works, but I am partial to anythng with a yellow or white belly.

Lots of good frogs on the market.  I like the Jackall Iobee and Snag Proof Ish's Phat Frog the best.  I'm not terribly particular about colors on frogs.

I really want to catch a fish on a top water frog this year. I have a Spro bronze eye Jr. but I don't really have the right tackle for them.  What soft body frog would you guys recommend for average spinning gear? I've heard good things about the ribbit and zoom's frog, would they work good in the spring in about 3-5ft of water?

I mostly use the Spro Bronzeye Frog in the original size. I have done really well on the Albino White, Green Tree, and Killer Gill.  I am really looking forward to using the new Bronzeye Shad.

Bronze eye in black is awesome

evolve nervous walker in green leopard. walks great and is incredibly soft. but I want to try bronze eye popper and sprouts king daddy. I want to try black and white.

I don't believe bass can see the detail color on frogs but white and black provide the best outlines and therefore targets.

i like the koppers live target in black and yellow or a river2sea spittin wa in dirty white

For a fast moving frog I use the rage toad. For a floating frog I use a Spro. Black in low light conditions or muddy water and white in clear water.

White for low light?

White for sunny (light) black for cloudy (dark) days....

My favorite frog is "flipin the bird"

i got that.river2sea diving frog I'd like to catch a bass on

I've caught more fish on black BPS plastics frogs mojo rigged 1/8 oz than any other lure.

That being said, I plan on upping my soft body frogs with some Spro in the spring.

Spro bronze eye in killer gill is my #1 frog, after that it's a black spro popper. I just got a koppers field mouse for Christmas, can't wait to try that out

Frogs are my absolute favorite way to fish so I have a ton. I don't really have a "favorite" as all have their place and time but my main choices are;

(in no particular order)

Spro Bronzeye and Bronzeye Jr's in Killer Gill and Outback

Spro Bronzeye Shad in either Sexy Shad or Spooky Shad

R2S Bully Wa 65 in Armed Forces and Dirty White

R2S Spittin' Wa 70 Poison has been most effective with this bait

Hands down #1 topwater for me is the original Spro Bronzeye frog in either all black or putty color.

I like the Ish's phat frog the best. For me, it is the easiest to walk. I too use black and white. I also have a couple of sexy Ish color that have caught some fish.

Dark colored medium sized Koppers first and foremost. Then Booyah's pad crasher, a good close second.

My current favorite is the Spro Bronzeye but I had good success with the H2O frogs last year also. I like any color, as long as it's black.

Spro Bronzeye or Spro Popping Frog. Toss up between the two. Both produced very well for me.
