Tungsten Prices!!!
I buy mine direct from china now. Prices are pretty amazing compared to what we pay here. THe markup @ places like BPS is CRAZY, although they do have a ton of overhead.

Lamiglas Infinity Bass
Very curious about these rods as well. Their ratings look to be different than other rods, might have to grab one whenever the next 20% off sale is.

All Around Fishing Line
Don't overlook the Mccoy... The price is right for me! Very inexpensive.

All Around Fishing Line
I'd be more concerned with line diameter than lb test ratings. Diameter and lb test ratings can change drastically mfr to mfr. I'm not completely sold on fluro lines. TT did a test a while back showing there wasnt much difference between fluorocarbon and monofilament. Most people that insist one is clearly better than the other have never really done any testing. Thats not to say there arent some exceptions, tatsu is a very nice line, but overall I'm not sure the added expense is worth it for everyday fishing. That being said I've had some excellent luck with copolymers. Yozuri hybrid is pretty highly regarded on here and lately I've been using McCoy mean green and xtra clear and its been working great. For standard all around fishing I like a line diameter of .012-.013. Obviously the heavier/thicker the cover the stronger the line should be. You mentioned gin clear water so I'd probably stock up on some lighter thinner diameter line as well.

Floating Worms
Make sure you buy a plastic with no salt. Salt makes plastics sink.

Lf First Hand Opinions Airrus Nano Fusion And Lamiglas Infinity...
Thanks for the input. The lami looks great, their powers are a bit wonky but they really do look like nice rods. I'm going to give Gary a call tomorrow and see what he says. Who knows, I may buy one of each. There was a video on youtube showing the amount of flex you could put into the Airrus without it breaking, it was pretty impressive. I've talked to a few others that say the megaphone concept really does work. One guy mentioned he was throwing a rage craw and felt something he didnt recognize... It was the claws flapping on the fall...!!! WOAH! lol

Lf First Hand Opinions Airrus Nano Fusion And Lamiglas Infinity...
In the market for a new rod or two. Primarly for bottom contact, 1/4-3/8 t rigs and jigs with the very occasional 1/2 thrown in there. So far I've heard nothing but good things about these rods... But there really isnt much out there. I did a search for the nano fusion here and maybe 4 or 5 threads came up. Can anyone that has used these rods comment ? Thanks! Specifically interested in sensitivity, rod actions, etc.

Bass Tackle Depot?
They are quite legit. Might take them a little while to ship your order but they seem like awesome people.

Kvd Xps Fluoro Question
Have you used it? With the current sale going I was wondering if it was that much better than their old stuff.

Kvd Xps Fluoro Question
Just a quick question. I'm trying to determine the difference between the regular XPS fluoro and KVD fluoro. So far all I can find is the KVD is level wound. Is this the same line with one being level wound the other not? Thanks!

Help Replacing Rod Tips
So my buddy gave me very limited information that he needed to replace two of his rod tips. One is for a quantum smoke rod, the other a crabonlite rod. Both casting rods. Does anyone know the tip sizes for these? He lives over an hour from me so driving out there right now isnt an option with my crazy schedule.

Best Bang For Your Buck
I fished a KLX vs a dobyns DX744 for 4 days in Mexico... The KLX is every bit as good as the DX. In fact its my opinion that the DX series or rods, at least the ones I have, are pretty over rated and over priced in the current market. Started with the dx for an hour or two... Rest of my trip I never picked it up. I'm looking to try an *** soon, but as it stands right now, I think the KLX is the best bang for the buck. One other option thats right there is an ALX rod... But theyre a bit more expensive.

Hobby Rod Builder
Just wondering if those of you that have built custom rods at home would be able to help me solve a few questions? I'd do it over PM and be eternally grateful! Always wanted to build my own rod, looks like I'll be getting that mudhole small business start up kit. Working on a shopping list right now.

Okuma Spinning Rods
Hey guys in the market for a couple rods. Specifically I'm going to buy a new drop shot rod and a shakey head rod. I've been considering adding a dx702 and 742. However I bristle a bit at the cost. I'm also looking at the *** blacks and may pull the trigger if I can find a black Friday deal. In my browsing I noticed both the okuma helios series and TCS are built on a 40 ton blank. I find that interesting and am looking to see if anyone has used either and can compare them. Thanks.
