  1. Just brought dinner home from work. Dominos pan pizza with salami, pepperoni, sausage, diced tomatoes, parmesan asiago cheese, and extra provolone. Its one of my specialties that I always make. I call it 'the Italian Meats and Cheeses'. For Breakfast tomorrow it'll be turkey vegetable noodle soup (aka Thanksgiving leftover soup). Id rather have a legit breakfast with eggs and all the breakfast meats (especially scrapple) but my girlfriend will be at work by the time I wake up and Im too lazy to make all that myself. Lunch will probably be something at Dominos. Not sure what. Actually getting a bit sick of it. Maybe Ill just hit McDonalds or Burgerking instead when Im out on one of my deliveries.
  2. They had some at this fancy banquet at the country club I used to work at but I didn't eat any. My girlfriend tried it and said it was amazing. I did have some of the alligator and ostrich (yes, ostrich) and they were both really good.
  3. Yeah it is. I did a little more checking around after I titled the pic.
  4. Hello and welcome. You can learn a lot here.
  5. Not really saying ones better than the other. Just saying that I have an Xbox and I really like it and haven't really had any problems with it. After having Playstations for years, the change was kind of refreshing. Also most of my friends had Xboxes so from a multiplayer stand point it made more sense.
  6. Hello and welcome to BR!
  7. Whatever system you get, definitly make sure its in a well ventilated area and hit with some of that aeresol computer duster every now and then.
  8. Thanks for the tip man. Ill keep that in mind. Trout definitly seem like much more fragile fish than bass. Usually when Im trout fishing, Im fishing for dinner but I hadn't been to bed yet and was just trying to get home so I could grab 4 hours of sleep before work.
  9. As far as the Xbox controller goes, I didn't like it at first because I was so used to playing Playstation. It just took some getting used to. Feels natrual now. As far as the Xbox breaking down goes, in 3 years, I haven't had any of the 'Red Ring of Death' issuses. Only problem I had was that after 2 years, the disc tray went up. As far as buying Microsoft points, you can buy them on the Xbox marketplace with your credit card. Its not like you have to run out to Gamestop everytime you need Microsoft points.
  10. Started the morning going after bass. Threw everything in my tackelbox at them. After 2 hours with no luck and shortly before I had to start heading home I tied on my white roostertail (haven't picked up any powerbait yet). Caught 2 trout in about 10 minutes. The first was a small rainbow. Didn't wanna be bothered with cleaning fish today so I took a quick picture, unhooked him and got him back in as quick as I could but he was really bleeding a lot. He wasn't guthooked or anything. Just excessively bleeding from his mouth. As soon as he hit the water, he went belly up and floated downstream. I felt pretty bad. Thought about calling it a day after that but threw a few more casts. Glad I did cuz shortly after I hooked into a new personal best/first brown trout. Didn't weigh or measure him. Was more concerned with getting him back in the water. But he looked to be around maybe 16 or 17 inches. Ive caught a lot of 13-15 inch bass this summer and this guy was a bit bigger.
  11. When I started my brother gave me a lot of his spare stuff including several bags of soft plastics with only a couple worms/lizards in each. Couldn't see any sense in keeping 10 seperate bags with only 2 or 3 worms in each so I put all the worms in one ziplock and all the lizards in another. Didn't notice any disadvantages. Although I should probably mention that all the colors were fairly similar. Maybe there would be problems with colors running/bleeding if they were different? Im not sure. I keep them in the bags they came in now. Like WRB said, if you do decide to change them, keep the original bag label.
  12. I like that idea. Im gonna try it out next time I get hung up. Ive also lost a lot of expensive baits this past summer fishing from the bank. Never really used any kind of lure retriever though.
  13. Too cold? I hope not. I haven't been able to buy a bite (not bass anyway) the last few trips. Air temps are about the same here in MD and Hurricane Sandy dumped a ton of cold water into the lakes. As it gets colder the bass should be moving deeper and the deepest water in the lakes that I fish is by the dam which is currently inaccessable due the the high water levels. Hopefully when they go down Ill find the bass hanging out by the dam cuz I haven't been able to find them anywhere else.
  14. X's 2. That sounds like me all over.
  15. Xbox. Had a PS1 and 2 before I started playing my little brothers Xbox. Got my own and haven't looked back. I actually haven't played PS3 so I can't really offer any comparison though. Just my oppinion. As long as were talking videogames, I don't know how many people realize this but Rapala made a couple fishing games. Never played them and Im not sure about the name. They're definitly made for Xbox. Not sure about PS3.
  16. I went to a new spot on my lake yesterday. Turned out to not be as good as it looked from a distance but there was a Rat-l-Trap hanging from a tree. It was too high to reach so I took my worm off, reeled the hook up tight to the first guide and used that to try and pull it down. It was really badly tangled with line around the branch and I could tell it wasn't going to pull free so I fashioned a Survivorman spear from a nearby stick, my bait knife, and a stringer. Pulled the Rat-l-Trap tight with my hook and used the spear to cut the line. No fish that trip but a free lure is always a plus.
  17. Works perfectly. Thank you, sir.
  18. Thats awesome! Still having some problems though. Im not getting the error message anymore but once I click 'Browse' and choose the files I wanna upload, theres no 'Upload' button anywhere. Maybe Im just missing something. Or maybe your still working on it.
  19. X's 2. Didn't think about it til you posted this but yeah. Im pretty much the same as you. Impatient. Worms and jigs are just too slow for me. I can fish em if I have too but I usually get bored after a few minutes and tie on a moving bait and Im always walking up and down the shoreline looking for a better spot.
  20. Anyone use this stuff? I went trout fishing today and got skunked. There were like 3 or 4 other guys that showed up throughout the day and all of them caught their limit in about 30-45 minutes. Talked to a couple of them and they were all using Berkley Powerbait. What is this stuff exactly? It looks like some kind of gel. How do you use it? Id rather use lures cuz I feel like they require more technique/skill but if this stuff is catching trout like that, Im willing to give it a shot.
  21. Thanks for the oppinions guys. Sounds like most of you don't see a difference. Maybe Ill try one red and one black and see which one gets more fish on it.
  22. I haven't had a problem in the past but today Im getting an error message. I click 'edit my profile' and then 'pictures' and then it brings me to a blank screen that just says: Fatal error: Call to a member function userCpAlbumIndexView() on a non-object in /home/gmay/public_html/bass-fishing-forums/admin-directory/applications_addon/ips/gallery/extensions/usercpForms.php on line 171 Is it just me or is everyone else getting this error as well? And if its just me, can I do anything about it? I hope this thread doesn't turn into another like the "virus" threads a few weeks ago. I didn't wanna bother anyone with a PM.
  23. So much for my trout with Thanksgiving dinner. Not one bite. I probably jinxed myself when I posted that. Oh well. Theres always next year. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
