  1. id stay with the 734c. thats what i use for my spook rod and frogs until i get the 735c.
  2. Yes and no, the way I'm thinking of it is that I can pay an extra 50 and get another core but on the other hand they don't make the d7 anymore. Anyone know if the d7 and core spools are interchangeable?
  3. I know of a tackle shop that has a d7 a few hours away brand new in box and I'll be near there on Monday. Very tempting. I just don't want to pay full price
  4. help me out im trying to decide between these two reels for my next purchase. i know where to get either reel brand new so its not like im going to be buying a used chronarch d. any reasons why i should get one over the other?
  5. Buy a few more technique specific rods, some more reels, try to fish flw and won bass on the west coast here and improve my fishing techniques
  6. I find fish in some places more than others usually whenn baitfish come in as a factor, water temp or tide movement
  7. For me its equal between my shimano core 51 and 101, can't wait to see what my metanium can do
  8. Have you heard if there's a swimbait bite there or not?
  9. i just did a kayak tournament and fished out of an ocean kayak and an old town predator. if i had the money to spend, the old town predator is just as good as it gets. its very stable and handles rough water well as well as being very dry. you can also stand up in it comfortably and the seat it has is amazing. its comfortable and you're elevated above the water pretty well. i fished for 2 days on the delta one day in each kayak and the predator was my favorite by far.
  10. i do though lol. i know fishing is garbage during the day of the full moon night. i plan on throwing some football jigs on that lake but really deep to see if the hawgs will bite. what color finesse jig were they hitting?
  11. The bite wasn't that good when I went but it was during a full moon, I caught 4 in the time I was there for 4 hours. I stuck them on a dropshot
  12. will he have a signature reel too that floats when he throws it into the water?
  13. I went last week and you can launch a boat, in fact the bite was terrible
  14. i always throw them into weeds in the delta, theyre one of the only baits i can throw through the stuff in the delta. the weeds hardly get into the hooks and are pretty dang weedless
  15. I'll be there at the tournament throwing nothing but jigs and big swimbaits with my partner, not sure if it's going to be the best to use during that time but why not go big. Either I'll win it with some toad bass or not catch jack lol.
  16. What would be a good line to throw for 1/2 oz spinnerbaits in thick weeds. I use mono usually but was thinking of going with copoly or flouro. Opinions?
  17. I fish almost strictly 10lb flouro on my spinning setups and never have problems at all
  18. yeah I heard about that on facebook and now I'm just waiting for the shops to get them in stock so I can get my hands on a metanium
  19. Yep there's good fishing as long as you know how to fish these lakes
  20. Honestly check out a phoenix, they're better in just about every way to me. They take rough water very well yet they're stable and don't rock like a champion and they're fast
  21. I fish all the dobyns series from the savvy to the champion and extremes and honestly the savvy does not feel dead at all. I don't know why some people say they feel dead, I mean they're no where as sensitive as an extreme but definitely not dead. IMO they feel like a phenix recon2 to me when fishing on the bottom.
