  1. I use the TNT baits claymore jig in the bluegill pattern
  2. I launch out of ladds marina, russos or rivers end
  3. 6" proworms straight tail worm.
  4. I think that rod will handle Carolina rigs just fine.
  5. yeah I can say I'd pay for a dobyns Dx rod over a megabass( well most megabass rods) I own a few megabass orochi x4 rods and personally I'll take a DX rod any day. Not saying the megabass isn't good, it just doesn't feel as sensitive and balanced. I'm not sponsored by dobyns nor do I receive any discount, I just like the rod and the way it fishes.
  6. For shimanos it's hard to beat the service from Reel Ex.
  7. Look at the fresno bee fishing report. Should give you a good idea
  8. Check out the TNT baits wadda jig.Its an arkie head jig tied with thread and it uses a 4/0 mustad ultrapoint hook. I guarentee it wont bend out. Thats the inly jig i use.
  9. I'm a dobyns guy as well and I've held the new zayta in a few different models when I talked with gary last. I think this rod will be the rod that surpasses the nrx. It was the latest prototype of the zayta and that thing is completely mind blowing.
  10. Squarebill- river2sea biggie poppa Jerkbait- megabass vision 110 Topwater- river2sea whopper plopper 130( for lmb) heddon super spook( for spotted bass)
  11. I do not believe there are any in there. I went last weekend and the spots had reddish eyes when I was catching them
  12. 15lb striper on 4lb test
  13. TNT baits wadda jig 1/2oz River2sea biggie poppa 6" pro worms straight tail finesse worm TNT baits claymore jig(bladed swim jig) Deps 250 slider
  14. In Cali, especially on the delta it's anything under 3 lbs for me
  15. 50-60 lb sunline fx2, a bit heavy then again I'm using that to rip the jigs out of tules and other vegetation on the delta
  16. I was a bit bummed when I heard they were pushed back but since I've seen and handled the zayta, they're worth the wait. It's an amazing rod and I feel it's worth the price and wait.
  17. Hmm, dobyns zayta 754(I know they're not out yet, I've seen and felt them and they are worth the wait) with a shimano Antares hg or a daiwa steez ltd sv tn.

  19. Not here in fresno. Lately ive been sticking fish flipping jigs with the bass hitting on the fall, squarebills and spinnerbaits have worked well. Loving this warm winter, all these bass are in prespawn here
  20. My personal favorite spinnerbait is the River2Sea bling spinnerbait. It flat out catches fish for me, even contributed two of my 5 fish limit to win a tournament. Then 2 of them came on a r2s biggie poppa and the last one was on a TNT baits wadda jig. Just have confidence in what you throw and you will get bites
  21. My favorite by far is the river2sea biggie square bill, followed by the megabass fx knuckle 60
  22. If 180 is your limit, wait for the new curado ihg
  23. Go on tw and look in the shimano casting reel section
