Daiwa Fuego Spinning Reel
Not for nothin but I grabbed both Ballistics 2000 and 2500 for $140 each on eBay free shipping. A little bit more and you're definitely getting a rock solid reel that has plenty of reviews across the web.

Metanium 13 vs 16
Thanks for all the info! Appreciate it!

Jerkbait water clarity
I was fishing muddy water Sunday. Visibility was the worst I've ever seen at Candlewood. I was getting them on a Table Rock shad pattern. Me personally the dirty water gets the super bright on sunny days or very dark colors on overcast days, the cleaner the water the more translucent I go. Other good baits are shallow running crankbaits and soft jerkbaits. Jigs are always good. Spinnerbait if they are chasing bait. C Rig dragging a tube, fluke or craw imitation.

Daiwa Fuego Spinning Reel
I'm new to the Daiwa world, picked up a pair of Ballistics and love them! Idk where Fuego is on the totem pole but if they're in the same ball park as these they should be great reels. I do remember people on here saying the previous gen Fuegos were better but I think they were talking about the baitcasters.

Metanium 13 vs 16
Lmaooooooo hahaha there really doesn't seem to be a difference other than the paint job.

Dobyns Savvy vs Fury
I prefer the Fury Blank over the Savvy hands down but the Savvy has better guides and gives you the option to get micro guides if that's something you're interested in. The Fury line is using 30Ton Toray blanks, a fancy way of stating the type of graphite, which I find to be more sensitive all around. If it were me trying to stretch my cash I'd go Fury. BUT If I wanted the best for my money I'd skip the Savvy all together and go Champion. The CS line has so many rods in the line up you can find pretty much any Rod for any application you could want. let us know what you plan on throwing with it. I haven't used every Rod from Dobyns but enough I could try to point you in the right direction for which model would be good for you. If not me there's plenty of guys on BR who have been using Dobyns stuff far longer than I have.

Best place to get reels serviced
I highly recommend DVT and inquiring if there's Carbontex drags available for your reels. Great cheap upgrade!

Metanium 13 vs 16
Hey guys, What's the difference between the 2 other than colors. I was reading the actual brakes kick out differently or something?? Idk any one of you own the new one yet?

Spinning reel "grinding"
Is there a arrow on the main gear that needs to be pointed in a certain direction when you put into place. I've seen other reels with same thing. Put back together with out that aligned properly could do it. Could always make a trip to DVT day spa.

Square bill setup
Some of these guys mentioned the 705CB great Rod for it but I use the 685CB as I occasionally throw topwater with same Rod some days, I like mono for both. Several reasons why I like mono for squarebills but not getting into that. My rule of thumb is any Rod with moderate action for anything with treble hooks. A 5 power in Dobyns is MH it may be overkill for some smaller baits, with that said the 684CB is nothing to sneeze at. Definitely has enough backbone to pop a square off the top of a submerged weedline. Also I'll throw out that some Rod manufacturers have their actions labeled as fast and they end being more moderate than others, quantum comes to mind. If there is another brand you're looking at see if you can get ahold of one in person, look for a good parabolic bend in the Rod rather than just the tip.

Topwater fishing setup
I prefer straight mono. But then again I'm not using spinning gear for top water. Something like Buzzbaits and soft body frogs I could see braid without a doubt but small poppers and other lures with treble hooks I personally would rather have the shock absorption of mono.

Dobyns Fury
That's a hell of a deal! Excellent Rod for the money at regular price.

E7 chronarch's & curado's
The E Chronarch was the last Shimano reel to offer a full line up of sizes (200/201 50/51) and gear ratios (5:1, 6:1, 7:1) in lefty and righty.

Which Dobyns Champion for Pitching Plastics
Champion Series go with the 703C and drop the line to 12lb! I own it and know it inside out. However if you're throwing 3/16oz weights with baits that are borderline weightless like a roboworm the 702C will suite better. If you're throwing 1/4oz with like a sweet beaver or senko type of weight go the 3 power. Also the 703c makes a insanely great spinnerbait, buzz bait, chatter bait Rod!

Tatula CT and CT Type-R
I like red but not that much red. I'll eventually get one.

Best Line for 6XD
Pretty much 10lb for anything with trebles. Except Sammys and Lipless as I'm typically using mono in a higher strength.

Drop shot line
Went from 6# InvizX to 7# sniper, both very similar. Memory wasn't as much of an issue as line twist. I don't use swivels, probably should try but that's another topic. A little LnL the night before and maybe mid day helps with the management. One key too is do not put too much line on the reel. Keep a good gap between the line and edge of the spool lip. Also I pretty much use 3/16th unless it's really windy or heavy current I bump up just by adding a 2nd or 3rd weight.

Sufix 21 mono
I tried it, nothing special about it. Is cheaper than Elite and Siege. I always liked Siege the best especially for casting reels.

RC STX new manufacturer???
I bought it Saturday the original idk like a year ago.

Glock g30s
30s is my EDC. People were buying the 30SF and putting the 36 slide on it for weight reduction. So Glock capitalized off it and came out with the 30S. Is it completely practical for EDC, idk??? It works for me. I used to carry the 19, a 9mm with 17rnd mags, but when they passed the law with the 10rnd mag limit I figured if I'm gonna be limited might as well have more power. The gun is a beast, super accurate and reliable. I put XS big dot sights on her and a talon grip. Love it!

RC STX new manufacturer???

Daiwa Ballistic ex
That's good to know. They've received some lemon reels before and reviewed them anyways.

Show off your Stuff
I'll let you know. This combo was more of a novelty. As state tourneys can't throw the a rig. Only time I may use it is in club tourneys, get a limit then hunt for a kicker with a swimbait. Just getting my feet wet with swimbaits myself. Days I go fun fishing I'll be throwing it mostly. While I'm at it ...
