Gloves?
Not waterproof but I have a pair of Under Armour gloves I found at DSG with a flush rubber webbing into the fabric that don't hinder thumbing a spool. Also allow you to use touch screen devices without having to take them off. They're the middle model of cold colder and coldest. Pretty warm and comfortable so far. Don't know the model of them but it's the only style they were carrying from them when I went.

Here the main bait fish are alewives and blue back herring. Perch and bluegill as well. Never have good luck on the shad patterns with the chartreuse stripe. Baits with purple, pink and green, work great for me. Wouldn't mind seeing a company make a exclusive alewife pattern.

Nice! Is it a new to you Fuego or the New model of the fuego? My buddy was just looking at those ended up with something else. He loves his previous gen Fuegos.

Getting A New Jig Only Reel
Most measurements depend on drag setting and empty or full spool hence the Calcutta is rated such as 23-28 23 empty spool 28 full spool. Idk if I've fished more than you a year but I've definitely cashed more checks than you

Did a quick browse on the web looks like it's 1/2oz bro the Frs jumps to 5/8 (due to added weight of rattles). Was yours definitely silent? Edit forgot to mention I tried putting my 70X on my food scale it reads 0.7oz

Idk anything about either reel but after you get the one you want post some impressions about it. I'd love to hear it. There's several Daiwas I'm interested in checking out at some point.

Getting A New Jig Only Reel
Allow me to reiterate. When I work a jig my Rod is 99% of the time at 12 o'clock. If I feel something I crank down to 3-4 o'clock then cross its eyes. One thing I think people don't take into consideration is the reel I've been using which yes it's a 6:1 but it's also a US 50 size. If I'm half way down on line from a long cast 1 handle turn might only be 12" of line so getting down to 3-4 o'clock is like 5-6 turns before the line is taught. This reel I'm literally re-spooling weekly, after xx amount of reties break offs etc IPT is greatly reduced rather quickly. So in my case the faster the reel the better for me. State tourney trail, 2 clubs, few dozen opens, plus numerous practice days on the water, year in year out the jig has been my bread and butter.

New Crankbait Rod
I love my graphite Dobyns CS. 684, 685, 705 all CB. 705 is awesome for the 10-14ft range. 684 and 685 rock for everything else with trebles less than 10ft

New Crankbait Rod
Just want to throw a idea out there for ya. Sperate medium from deep divers for a Rod. If you also throw jerk-baits, sammys, big poppers, squarebills etc treble hooked baits equally as much as a medium diver. A quality Rod in the 6'8-7'0 range like a m or mh mod will be great. I see deep divers as a specialty that needs its own Rod definitely over 7' and more in the MH side. Just a thought. If money is a issue you don't need 2 full on combos you could use same reel on both rods...

Does the website have the length of the bait? Measure it to see if it matches. That's what I did trying to figure out if my beat up Sammy I was trying to replace was a 110 or 115. I.E if website says 3" and yours is 4" chances are you have the heavier one or vice versa.

oh hell yeah I'm gonna order a couple. $5 too. Are they durable?Ended up using my bps card for a bunch of IMA baits. They're walking baits look real cool too. Different presentation to try when Sammy bite starts fading.

gonna give it a try thanks. Any color you prefer? Have alewives and perch up here as primary forage.

Fall Baits
Up here in north east, pretty much Keitechs and finesse worms. But I personally have sucked getting a pattern going. Caught fish in anywhere from 2ft all the way to 35ft. Buzz bait a close third.
