So was looking at grabbing some different medium runners 8-12ft range to try. What do you guys like? These Ima Beast Hunters look solid for $10, idk how the bills hold up. They're opening the first BPS here in CT and I would rather drive 1.5hours to Cabelas than spend a $0.01 in BPS. As far as I'm concerned BPS can go belly up for their anti-2A stance locally.

I was dead set on a Skeeter until I was in one on Champlain. Locally any lake in the area it can handle no prob but big water it seems the other 2 handle better. Idk we'll see, I may change my mind again. Lol all the boats are good.

I can't wait! 2 more Omens and a Tat HD then my next purchase hopefully in Spring will be a Triton or Ranger.

Just pulled the trigger order Met XG from JLS. Stupid PayPal ended up using the wrong conversion rate so I ended up paying $9.xx more than what I was supposed to. Called them and they gave me 5 different answers. Smfh anyhow $282.27 still want to get that zillion though lol

I've been using a Citica 201G6 with all abecs, bushings swapped for bearings, carbontex drag, Chronarch knobs etc. the abuse is making it fall apart. The handle play is getting worse and worse in and out to and from the reel body. Moves almost a quarter inch now. :Edit forgot to say. Like the the concept of the Tats deep spool and seems to be a solid work horse. Just really curious over the different models between here and JDM

I recently tried Sufix Performance Braid. One of the quietest braids I've used and the cheapest. Good stuff. Try 15-20# range.

Sup guys! So yesterday was my bday and between the wife and my mom have some cash specifically for fishing I've been using a Scorpion 1001XT but the 6:1 is driving me nuts I've had violent strikes but by the time I reel down to set the hook the fish already spit it. Not often but it's happened. So I've been determined to get the fastest reel I can get. I'll be pitching and random short roll casts so line capacity is least of my concerns. I've been dead set on the metanium XG. But now I'm seeing this Zillion in 9:1 looks like the IPT on the Daiwa is almost 4inches more with a full spool. But here's a drawback the one I would buy is mag sealed and to my knowledge only Daiwa can service it but I contacted Daiwa of America and they said won't service the JDM models. Same thing with Shimano but I can work on my own Shimanos. Am I better off just sticking with the Met? I would over time eventually buy a Zillion to try it out. It's going on a 7'1" MH/XF *** and 12# Sniper or Assassin will be the line. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

He ordered 2 zillions ended up getting them from Japan Lure Shop thanks to us lol they're the only ones with it in 5:1. Daiwa doesn't offer 5:1 in the states in the zillion or the Tat. This 9:1 Zillion is sexy as hell. Now that I know they're comfortable on the *** 2.0 reel seat I'm tempted at keeping my Tats and getting that 9:1 thanks guys.

+1 One hell of a Rod. Used mine 2 years now for jerkbaits and poppers. Moderate taper definitely helps keep the fish pinned on the trebles.
