  1. I throw dozens of brands. Certain trailer work better for me, certain worms etc etc. just never knew havoc was the cheap line from them I thought it was their flagship way it is promoted.
  2. I'm going off comparing the Bottom Hopper and Berkley Shakey head worm lol $3 vs $6. But even still the pit bosses are awesome for the money, super durable.
  3. I have certain brands for certain techniques or presentations. With that said Rage Tail is definitely at the top of the list.
  4. If Havoc is their premium bait why is it so much cheaper than the Powerbait counterparts?? Gulp is a different ball game because they incorporate a container and attractant liquid into prices for some items. But between Havoc and their regular line. I don't get it?
  5. +1 Trilene big game 15# is like 24-26# if Japan says 15 it's 15.
  6. I've fished with guys who swear by smelly jelly yet I'll out fish them after handling baits, cinching knots after throwing a dip in lol so who knows.
  7. 2/0 light wire offset wide gap. I use the Zoom 6" lizards as well. I use fluorocarbon as main line and mono as leader. The light hook combined with the mono allows it to sink slower. or while pulling through sparse weeds allows it to get hung up and stay therefor presentation purposes.
  8. Any of you guys fish these? How do you like them? Do they float fast or slow? Thanks
  9. I saw a video on YouTube competition gummy worm verse Yamamoto senkos lol
  10. This makes me think it's a bad design for no reason should line be forced to rub against metal cast after cast.
  11. OMG if someone crossed my line from another boat I would snap!!! I wouldn't get him DQd after only one offense but multiple expletives will be thrown lol
  12. I fish as a Co angler in tournaments however I fish with 1 of my buddies on his boat which for years (upon years before doing tournaments) me and him have accumulated a notebook full of spots and a hummingbird full of waypoints. This is also multiple lakes. So in a nutshell I have my own spots. Come time of tourneys depending on who the boater is I don't want to give away my best info so typically in a situation boater asks me for input I'll recommend more of a community spot which I like but I've seen others fish. As far as hitting spots when you get a boat in reality you should explore and find you're own spots for the methods in which you fish. I'll throw you a perfect example. Candlewood here in CT is the "main" lake. It was a town until they knocked it down and filled it with water. There are ancient paper maps around and chips for old school Nav units they don't make anymore which show road beds stone walls for property lines, cemetery, railroad tracks etc etc. so one persons foundation they fish mid summer exclusively there may be half a tourneys worth of anglers that already know about it. But if you have learned the spot and know how to fish it where it's productive for you, then fish it. Key is to develop your own toolkit for techniques that you use.
  13. Clear with no tint
  14. + one on a Stradic ci4+ and throw in a carbontex drag.
  15. I outfish boaters pretty consistently especially if the day is split 4/4hrs for spots and trolling motor. Honestly best way to do good is get out ahead of time with a different buddy and pre fish so you have a absolute game plan. If you bring 30 baits with you day of tourney you'll spend more time wasting time then having your line wet. I'll typically have 3-4 setups dedicated to those 3-4 baits/techniques and focus on those. Also talk to boater ahead of tourney so if he's flipping all day you're not bringing deep diving cranks with you lol it's happened to me when I was starting out. I'm gonna just random off some pointers. Your on outside weed line and he's following it casting forward say a crank or swimbaits. Fish something you can beat the hell out of the bank with or grass hump spinner bait, spook, swim jig etc. If he's keyed in on fish in open water casting forward to one of his marks and nothing is to the left or right keep a eye on the rear screen and drop shot vertically! If sensitivity is high it'll be like playing a video game. Get the line to the arch and hold on! If he's beating the bank with trollin motor on medium throw something different. Mix and match squarebill front spinner in rear. But if he's getting them good on xyz don't be hesitant to throw the same thing. It could pay off especially if he has a few short strikes or follows you could switch to a different color than what he's using. Just some pointers from my past experiences. Hope it helps! Good luck!

  17. I hated silver thread. I tried it before. I wanna try the p line stuff at some point.
  18. Tangerine!!??? Where are all these colors? Locally Dicks is only place that has Green Siege, Cabelas too but it's 2 hours away. Don't know what AN 40 is...
  19. Lol tried both. Top water Siege is hard to beat.
  20. Rod first reel (IMO 6:1 is good all around ratio) second. All the reel does is cast line out and bring line back. Say you did a Tatula or a Citica either can be had under $100 around the web. Also for rods on a budget 13 Omens are my rod of choice.
  21. I fish this stuff all the time in smoke green. Was thinking about trying it in clear however no one local has it. Does anyone know if it's the clear with blue tint or is it fluorocarbon clear with no color? Seen they have a camo type too gotta get that for c rig leader ! Thanks in advance
  22. Interesting. Typically I reach for lizards... Never tried it before maybe tomorrow.
  23. Spinner bait buzz bait chatter bait jig worm t rig all could be covered by the same rod for the most part.
