  1. Thats just great , real great .?
  2. I dont have a favorite and just pick out what I feel like at the time . 8 inch Jelly worms have been good . Also Yum Dingers , Zoom Lizards , Riverside Big Claws "I have a decent supply of those still "
  3. Half the hard lures I throw are not made any more .
  4. They're suppose to fish tomorrow . I hope they are all careful and pull back on that throttle .
  5. I just used up my last supply of 10 inch purple ringworms last year . Dont know if they were Rebels or not but they looked just like them .
  6. Lots of them . One of the most recent is the Red Eye Shad . I have caught loads of deep bass fishing it like a worm . I use the regular , two tap and silent in all three sizes .
  7. Friday is on hold too .
  8. Could they possibly cancel the entire event ?
  9. I hope you're better at gambling than I . Mine were always epic fails . I did make a change today . I looked up my bucket E pick on facebook and he stated its been a grind on one day but did hook up with one nice smallie .On the second day he posted a picture of a dink largemouth .
  10. When I was little there were these little wild yellow flowers beside the house and they bloomed the same time large river crappie were moving from the Mississippi river to the backwaters . When they appeared I'd tell Dad its time to go .
  11. I have a lot of lures but just use a few .
  12. I walk it out in the grass then reel it in with slight tension . The twist is removed .
  13. Unbelievable , I'm 63 also . I guess that explains why we have so much in common when it comes to bass fishing . Dont tell me you were born in July too .
  14. Me too . Usually when I change picks , its for the worse .
  15. Randy has been a pro fisherman for decades . He made a video about his truck . It has 300,000 miles on it . That right there tells you hes a long ways from wealthy .
  16. 10 years olds across the nation catch scads of bass with Beetle Spins and so do I .
  17. LOL . Me too. I was at Table Rock lake . Bought some 3/4 ounce football head jigs to fish 30 foot deep on rocky points and lost them all .
  18. The only time I add a trailer to a spinnerbait is when I want a little more weight , then I'll add a section of a stick worm .
  19. For a cast and wind bait they will work , after all Beetlespins catch bass by the millions . But , they have a cheap swivel that keeps the blade from spinning when the lure is paused . A lot of bass are caught when the lure is paused . If you want to save some money just look for the least expensive bait with a ball bearing swivel .
  20. I throw bright whites and chartreuses' until the spawn . Shortly after that I go to duller baitfish colors .The bass really get hammered in the spring with spinnerbaits ,so I get more bites with muted colors in the warmer weather .
  21. In the 80's there were advertisements in Bassmaster of a remote controlled top water lure that was maneuvered by a rod that had the controls built into it .
  22. A friend and I had just started fishing on an absolutely beautiful day . We were fishing the bank when a roaring sound was heard . I trolled out to the middle of the cove to get a look around and there was a wall cloud heading our way . We raced back to the boat ramp but it overtook us . We beached the boat and waited it out in the vehicle . White caps were washing over the beached craft .Next day we learned a tornado touched down real close by . Similar stories have happened several more times . Once while canoeing a storm blew up . I took shelter by hugging a boulder to break the fall of the trees that were blowing down all around me .
