  1. Describe the waters you are going to or name them .
  2. I dont see Ott Defoe listed in any of the buckets . Do classic winners get an automatic berth the next year ?
  3. I have one that goes on the trailer hitch ball
  4. Only speculation but in most fisheries I suspect more mature bass die of natural causes than too trophy hunters . Maybe not in the ponds the OP is referring to .
  5. Jig and pig . All Black with an Uncle Josh pork frog .
  6. Its a bluegill pattern .
  7. Even on skin mounts the Taxidermist has to paint the fish , so you could still get one that is vastly different than what it looked like when caught . Then you could get one from muddy water , not much color , looks washed out . I wouldnt want my bass looking like that .
  8. I have a 1/4 ounce Jimmy Houston signature Super Spot . Had a Half ounce one that just wore the bass out .It has a really unique chartreuse pattern .
  9. There are floating ones also . You must have a couple of those .
  10. I have a skin mount of my first 7 lb bass, caught about forty years ago before replicas were available . I will probably never have another one done but dont like the idea of that liberty taken away .
  11. The most important event that happened to me while fishing is catching that first bass on a Texas rig .I felt that tap and remembered what all those magazine articles suggested on how to respond . I reeled the slack out of my line , set the hook like a boss and caught a keeper bass . Fishing got a heck of a lot more productive after that one cast .
  12. Shallow and close to cover .I like a black jig with a bright orange trailer .
  13. I have several of those .
  14. Toads %$#
  15. Is Bassmaster live working . I'm getting the Live Mix to load . I just rebooted everything and its working now .
  16. I like to use buzzbaits , spinnerbaits , crankbaits , Texas rigs and jigs but any lures work .
  17. Thats what I'm getting at . I see them all the time barely hit a good looking spot that has more than one area for a bass to be hiding . Pitch the lure in , hop it once or twice , lift it and hit the next spot , leaving the piece of cover largely untouched . Only time I do that is when the wind is blowing me by .
  18. Yes. Texas rigs work great in heavy cover . Sometimes I start out with it sometimes not . Keep experimenting until something clicks .
  19. Just about anywhere but especially on wood , laydowns , beaver houses... I do like like them in open water , especially on deep points .
  20. I watched Keith Combs just awhile ago, pitching at a line of woody cover in this cove . Probably would have taken me five minutes to go through it , he did it in one minute . Pros sure am dum .?
  21. For those watching live , anyone else turn it off when Dave Mercer is on? I'd rather listen to pigs squeal .
  22. LOL Menendez has a brand new boat and he didnt check it out thoroughly . He turned his livewell on for the first time and the bilge ran instead . There is no water in the livewell .
  23. I've been watching since 6:30 .
  24. Watching professional tournament anglers for the past few years I noticed they make a pitch , hop the lure a time or two , reel in and hit another spot .They get a lot of pitches in in a short amount of time , in high percentage spots. I work the cover way more thoroughly . Bounce that bait through as much as I can and even hop it after it has cleared visible cover . A lot of fish come after the lure has left the cover and I often work it all the way in .Its not unusual to catch a bass on the last hop right at the boat . How bout you guys ?
