  1. I use to have that one but cant remember who made it . Herbs Dilly ?
  2. I fish lakes with lots of bass . I use to go often and stay late . A forty bass day is not that much if dinks are counted and one stays at it for 8 to 10 hours . Then there are those occasional 70 to 100 fish days .
  3. I was just at Dicks and they have them buy five get five free . I already have four plus about twenty others .
  4. Sometimes the bass is just on there so pay attention to what Bluebasser posted . If the lure is dropping and you feel a light tap ,then you are lucky, so set the hook with authority . If you are lifting the lure and feel a tap then you might just be hitting a limb or something , maybe a fish . Just keep at it .
  5. There should be a lot of current in that 1 foot deep spot . I would fish it then the hole . Cast up stream . A Strike King Rocket Shad has worked great for me in the current , then some type of soft plastic crawfish imitator in the deep water below the ripple like tubes, hula grubs , Baby Brus hHog , Salt Craws...
  6. Man, thats a hard one . I've only been four times this year and estimate I caught 120 to 150 . Its not unreasonable that I have caught 1000 to 1500 in a year .
  7. You might try an inexpensive mono until you get the hang of it . 12 lb big Game would be a good choice .
  8. There are a lot of worm hooks . Google offset worm hooks . For fishing in vegetation you will want a heavy hook like a 4.0. All hook manufacturers make them . Look at Yutube videos .I would supply a link but dont know if thats allowed .
  9. Yes .
  10. Riverside Real Claw does not work , even in a pinch .
  11. I'm not expierenced at punching , some-one else can weigh in . I have caught a lot of big bass by working weightless worms on top . Just plop it in place and one might blow up through the vegetation . Look for areas where the weeds are sparser and work it up to there and pause it at openings .
  12. I just ordered one .
  13. That is plenty heavy enough to fish in the weeds . Go with a weightless Senko or something similar and throw it in there. .
  14. Bomber Long A Minnow . Can be cast easily with bait casting gear .
  15. I like to use a single willow leaf blade .Just let it sink to the bottom, Hop it like a worm or more often reel in a few feet then let it sink again . If you cant find a single willow leaf you could switch out blades on a Srike King Midnight Special. Then you will have the added attraction of a rattle .
  16. I'm a buzzbait addict .
  17. What equipment are you using ?
  18. Went back yesterday and tried the long lipped Rogue along with my usual assortments of cranks but the deep bass were not cooperating . The wind was blowing out of the east . I salvaged the day by pitching worms into brush piles and lay-downs then switched to buzzbaits late .
  19. 7 foot deep , I'm guessing a fairly small pond . I would try going to the dam if there is one, if not the deepest side and fan cast some bottom bouncing baits like Texas rigs , grubs ... Thats the only way to find out if they are deep or not .
  20. I do not remember Bagleys soft plastics .
  21. Describe the pond . How deep , clear , weed growth....
  22. A friend of mine showed me his coffee mug that read " catfishing is like bass fishing , except for men "?
  23. I try not to ,too but still pull the trigger early at times .
  24. I said I changed action and color because I switch baits and the action is rarely the same . A Bandit square bill does not act like a Rapala square bill ... Even lures that are the same model often behave differently .
