I dont fish heavy weeds very often .I use 17 lb trilene xl clear blue fluorescent . I like the visibility oc CBF and the diameter is only .015 . Its strong pretty strong and manageable .

I use Chrome and Windows 10 . I also have a photobucket account and use it a lot . I tried downloading videos to it but could never get them to play .

I've been a fishing addict ever since I caught my first sunfish on a cane pole bobber and worm . Its one of my earliest memories . When dad told me it was a sunfish and I saw the yellows and oranges I literally thought it was a "Sun" fish .

Nope . As a matter of fact one day I was watching a school of carp sucking at the surface like they often do . I took a Long A Minnow tossed it out there and started ripping it in an attempt to snag one . One of the biggest bass I ever caught hit it instead .

When someone out fishes me two to one I start paying attention .

How long is this fish ? Looking at bills hands and the fish doesnt appear to be that long . Its just shaped like a beach ball .

Another thing you might try that I have had success on . When fishing rocky banks in current use a small heavy spinnerbait , or anything that sinks may work , rattlletrap et al. Cast up stream on the rocky banks in deeper water allowing the lure to sink and hit bottom . A soon as it touches down pop it up and retrieve just fast enough to feel the blades and keep it hugging the bottom . I have caught fish on the Mississippi river this way using H&H spinners , Rocket Shads and large Beetle Spins .. They use to make a large Beetle Spin , dont know why they quit .

Look how fat that fish is . I catch them that long and they look like they're on a Jenny Craig diet .

I already had bass for supper six times this year . I plan to keep on eating them . Now most I keep are under the slot and the Mo Con dept are begging people to harvest them , but if I have to keep a fish or two over the slot to finish off my stringer , I do it . I dont keep five lb + fish , unless I hooked them badly and dont think they will survive .

Lakes I fish at they have signs saying to keep bass to improve the fishery .

Let e ask you this . Have you ever done well on sand points on the downstream side of islands ?

OK , I actually have a little survival tin and I keep a couple of marabou jigs in there . Some day I might actually try to catch something when I,m out hiking around . I also have a large Circle hook in it to .

I havent fished clear water in years . Murky , green is the norm . I use all kinds of colors . Dark purple worms work good but so does watermelon chartreuse . Shad pattern cranks work well but so does bluegill and crawfish . I do like the contrasting colors mentioned . One that works real well for me is to take the watermelon chartreuse plastic worm and use a red Spike-It marker to put a stripe on it. The stripe turns out a reddish brown and its been pretty darn effective . I had some old Riverside worms were a similar color that just killed the fish and the Spike-It marker duplicates it pretty good .

You know , we've had a lot of rain here too . I went fishing Monday and caught fifty fish .I figured I would start deep and play it from there First cast of the day caught one 17 foot deep on a Strike King 6 XD and several more after that . Also caught several 10 foot deep on a Norman Deep Lil N . Then caught a whole bunch at 6 foot on a Rapala Fat Rap . Several came at two foot on a Rogers Big Jim . Then Texas rigged worms caught fish from 1 foot to 17 foot . Where should they have been? I dont know . I have not mastered anything .

Nice . I like those Pigs , wish I had them . You know those little deep piglets suspend ,or come close to it . Are those honey B's ?Honey B's are bass catching machines .

I better go buy a half dozen .

Next time just tell them its not legal to give your fish to other anglers . They probably wont know if it is or not .

I just bought a Deep Lil N thats from Wal Mart that has made in USA on it .

I'm astounded by how good some of the inexpensive rods perform . My most expensive rod is a Shimano Compere that cost 100 dollars . I picked up a 7 foot med hvy IM8 graphite rod at Gander Mountain for 20 dollars . I used it for the first time yesterday and was blown away by it . It reads Lady Guide LOL and was marked down but I think it was only a forty dollar rod to begin with . My local Farm store has IM7 quantums for thirty dollars . They are so much lighter than the pool cues of yesteryear . The rod snobs will say they are junk .I'im impressed with them .
