  1. Really , downscan only? I havent had a lot of success IDing fish with the downscan . I like the 2d imaging and there are fish all over . . With 2D imaging I pay attention to fish signals on structure , most other signals I dont pay much attention too because there are so many of them . I do pay attention when there are a lot of straight lines because that is fish moving , usually feeding .
  2. Youre fishing deep water but are you fishing structure like long extended points or humps , or have just backed away from the bank. This has been a good year for me for numbers using t-rigged plastic worms and crankbaits . Norman Deep Little N for water 8 to 10 foot deep . Rapala Crankin Rap CRR14 for 10 to 12 foot . Strike King 6XD fof 12 to 18 foot and worms at all depths . .
  3. Missouri . Illinois , Iowa , Arkansas , Tennessee ,Michigan , Florida , and Alabama
  4. I dont have a lifetime supply and am out of working Deep Little N's . I will not buy anymore at Wal Mart from this lot even though they are USA made . I'm going to start buying them from flea markets and such . I' dont recall ever buying an out of tune Deep little N and to have two run this bad is just throwing money away . I have found that baits that run way off usually cant be tuned to run correctly and reach their maximum depth . Oh well , Rapala Crankin Raps are filling the void nicely .
  5. I'm an avid Deep little N user . These last two American made I bought are junk . Two weeks ago I lost two ,one to a snag and the other to a huge fish , so I had to replace them . Well one ran badly to the right , so I tuned it but it did not have a good action . The other ran badly to the left , so I tuned it too and it also just didnt have a good feel . I used the second one anyway and caught three bass , all three barely hooked , one was hooked on the outside . I then switched to a deep diving Rapala Crankin Rap and bass after bass engulfed it . Im very disappointed . They have always ran true before .
  6. Haha . I bought the rod , but now have to return it . I require a foregrip , because thats where I hold them , and this rod does not have one . As my son use to say Dumdum Dada .
  7. The local Wal Mart still has USA made Deep Little N's in two colors . I bought 2 last week . Norman got the N series right .
  8. I still use the 1310 MG's . They are on old heavy flipping rods and I use them for catfish and carp .
  9. I can buy this rod ,new , for 25 dollars . It is 6 foot 10 inches and med hvy . I cant find this rod on the internet except as a combo at Wal Mart . How this other store got this one rod I dont know . Do any of you know anything about the rod ? It looks and feels like a decent good rod much better than a twenty five dollar rod .
  10. The Great Salt lake . It will test your bass angling skills .
  11. Theres a small lake I fish and once found I routinely catch 50 to 100 bass . Most will be between 12 to 15 inches . I never counted consecutive fish caught but I bet I have had hits on fifty consecutive cast . Many time I have left them biting , to search for bigger fish .
  12. In believe there is always a best color , size, action , sound.... It might not make a big difference but we all know how much a small difference in weight can effect tourney standings . One day when leisure fishing I switched colors because the bass were hitting it too good and I was spending more time trying to get the crankbait and both hooks out of their throats than fishing . The new color worked out much better because most of the fish just had the rear treble in their mouths . I caught more fish on the color I switched too , because I could make more cast with it .
  13. My brain is a constant .I cannot turn it off . I think the reason I enjoy bass fishing so much is that it keeps me focused without having to try . It makes me fill normal for those few short hours . I imagine a lot of bass anglers can relate .
  14. Looks like a sculpin to me . I use to have a sculpin in an aquarium .
  15. Really , I have the red crap . Red grease too . I got suckered again .
  16. Lets say we are fishing a 100 yard long rip rap dam . Do you guys still carry all that stuff ?
  17. I have one of those heavy BPS Extrene Rods , I bought in a combo . That is my least favorite rod .
  18. Gander Mountain has a shimano Compere marked down to 80 dollars . Thats a nice rod for that price .
  19. I paid 20 dollars for my last rod . From Gander Mountain .Lady Guide series and its not pink . Its a manly lavender .
  20. I just take a bait caster and a few baits , sometimes I just take one lure . I want to be moblie not bogged down and constantly putting things down and picking them back up .
  21. I might start some day . I have a sprayer that twenty years old that I have never used . My wife got it for me .
  22. Yes , do it .Try everything . Weightless , light weights , heavier weights . Weight is not just for casting. Bass hit a bait that is falling a lot more than on the way up . You just have to try it all .They all work .
  23. It doesnt surprise me Uncle Homer didnt feel those fish . The way he holds the rod it would be hard to detect most hits .
  24. It was the ad blocking . Now I can see it .
  25. LOL . Ok good luck .
