With all due respect. It seems to me that once a thermocline forms there would be more O2 available above it . I dont know , thats just the way it seems to me . Plus algae and weed growth also increases O2 . I fish a lake in the summer and put small bass on a stringer and tow them along for hours . These fish are very lively at the end of the day .

I plan on pouring all four sizes . If a 2.0 will fit in the 1/8 cavity i will use them . I dont know if the diameter is different for 1.0 , 2.0 , 3.0 , .4.0

For you experienced spinnerbait makers . I have a 20 year old Do It bullet style spinnerbait mold it reads Spinner Jig model SJ-4B-A .I need components . The mold reads.035 for 1/8 and 1/4 ounce lures and .040 gauge wire for 3/8 and 1/2 ounce lures .For hooks the mold reads 1.0 , 2.0 , 3.0 and 4.0 . the smaller hooks for the smaller weight ... I plan on getting .032 and .035 wires . I'll just get the longest ones because I'm going to cut them to size I dont plan on getting the .040 because I usually go with smaller blades . Can I get by with using two size hooks . will 2.0 work in the 1/8 cavity . the either a 3.0 or 4.0 for the 3/8 an 1/2 ounce cavity's . I dont want to buy a lot of unnecessary hooks . The mold also reads hook style 253 or 3407 . I just saw there are some .029 wire forms too .

LOL , you sound like my cousin . He hates trebel hooks too . You just have to live with it . A lot of older crankbaits had hook hangers to close together and they constantly tangled , the Rebel Deep Wee R for example . I figured all manufacturers would have solved that problem by now . What lure was it ?

Nightcrawlers work good .

Drum , they fight weird . They turn sideways an just stay like that . A firiend calls them sailing fish because they just kind of sail in one direction .

KVD won a classic with 12 lbs . I think Nixon on one with 18 lbs . Take what the water will give up . There will be only one winner . Second , third , fourth... to me , is much better than going home empty .

Who do I watch to learn ? The gulls . I always watch the gulls . They have taught me a lot .

I'm going to make one more post on this thread . I have taken a lot of people fishing . Those that get discouraged easily dont develop into competent anglers . Those that dont get discouraged learn quickly . Bad days of fishing are good learning experiences .

Summer is the time to catch lots of fish . If you're stuck on bank then find steeper banks or like previously mentioned streams . .

Rapala makes darn good lures .That one looks good , I would have bought it too .

I have never been salt water fishing in my life . I am confident that I can walk down one of those peers with my Bass fishing gear and catch something . I would be surprised if I didnt .

Change . If you cant get them to hit frogs dont force it . You will eventually get on a frog bite , in the mean time use something different .

Fishing is easy and I have caught a lot of fish not just bass . I just feel confident whenever I go fishing If I dont catch fish on a lure or technique , so what , I know they work and I just wasnt in the right place at the right time .

Extreme Championship Bass Fishing .

I give up my spots all the time . I just toss out a marker buoy .

I ordered the Hot Pot . I am out of the little spinnerbaits I like to use and need to make another dozen .

I made a plaster of paris mold and use too melt my old baits and make new ones . I havent done that for many years .

I have had real good luck on a certain lure,lose that lure , buy another and not catch a fish on it . Go figure .

I lke to use a flat sided Yum Swurm , no weight and a large hook . Texas rig it .
