  1. Spinnerbait's are so effective that everybody's throwing them .
  2. Hank Parker doesnt get bass thumb , he gets bass knuckles . Hank Parker doesnt hold a rod , he nails it to his hand .
  3. I have a Creme Mad Dog Minnow. I'll make sure I give it a try next trip .
  4. Thats crazy catching a hawk like that . Ive had bats hit my line at night while catfishing.
  5. Hank Parker doesnt release bass , he pardons them .
  6. I thought I saw Hank Parker and Chuck Norris watching me from a distance one day. This confirms it .
  7. It probably wont work but when the whites are not hitting good I have caught them on clear curl tail grubs with flake or a grub with the tail removed. But I have never cast at whites that I could visibly see.
  8. Those big fish can be stubborn and just refuse to hit. Structure , cover and food is what I always pay attention too no matter what time of year .
  9. I also picked up some Poe's flat baits from a resell store . Ive never used them before and got a new in box rattleless Speed Trap to try.
  10. I have quite a few fat Raps. They are one of my favorites but dont have any of the shallow diving small lipped ones .
  11. Ive often though about that. Have you done it ?

I catfish with a carolina rig using an egg sinker ,and a floating jig head made for walleye . I catch shad for bait with a casting net then immediately drop them on ice . I do not attempt to keep them alive . . It works exceptionally except the jig head is only good for a couple of fish .
  13. I didnt get to see these suggestions before I made it to Bass Pro today, about 100 miles away. Ended up buying a Rebel Bluegill. Norman had a good looking bait but it had a lot of rattles .
  14. Personally , I dislike using braid but a no or low stretch line would help with bass hooking themselves .
  15. Like the title says . What are shallow diving , preferably rattleless cranks that do not move a lot of water . New or old . I see lots of old lures at flea markets .

  17. Your fishing from shore in a wheel chair , man , I dont know how you do that . Arent you stuck in one place? If you lived by me I'd take you out in the deck boat.
  18. During floods I have caught fish in parking lots , LOL , and in clear water caught them 35 foot deep . I never know where to fish , just try to figure it out and start eliminating stuff.
  19. I like to peg the worm also. This year I've been removing a strand from a jig brush guard and use it to poke through the bait and eye .
  20. I've never heard of injecting air into a plastic worm to create a bubble. Doesnt even sound possible but who knows. Injecting air into live worms is a popular tactic. I know a guy who use to do that on a carolina rig and he caught lots of different species of fish .

Smalljaw , I Googled stupid style , went ahead and rigged one up and tied it on. Next time I go fishing I will try it . I like to learn all these tricks .
  22. welcome , Hannibal here .
  23. I never took the dogs in the boat but fishing from shore they always came along . If they were in the boat they would have been getting in the way and certainly hooked .
  24. Fishing pressure can really make bass reluctant to commit . Slowing down is not always the answer . The bass get a good look at the bait. When using slow baits I do camouflage the line with a sharpie . Most people laugh at that idea but it cant hurt . I try to match the bait with the water color , another tactic that people scoff at . I use crankbaits and spinnerbaits that dont move a lot of water or make a lot of noise . Thats often a good way too turn a slow day into a good day . I'm quiet as possible make long cast, trying to make myself invisible. A chop on the water does a good job of disguising top waters . Thats how I combat a slow bite due to fishing pressure and it's far from foolproof .
