Need Some Help Please!
Every tournament but one , that I did well in, I was not running all over the lake. I either fished a particular spot or area . Once I started running around , it was over for me . The lone exception I was point hopping .

Emergency Fishing!!!
I use to have a panel van with rod holders . So I was always ready. Living close to the mississippi river I would stop and fish somewhere almost every day. Caught lots of big bass out of drainage ditch culverts .Now all I have is a little backpack kit under the seat that is not suitable for bass .

Help Me Get Bit!!!!!
Just dont give up . Theres something that will work. Have you tried a floating minnow? Just cast it out and let it sit motionless until the ripples disappear , then barely nudge it . That can be a good spring time technique .

Plastic Jelly Worms - How And Where To Use Them?
I use the 6 inch Jelly worms a lot. Black grape has caught more fish for me than any other lure . I always Texas rig them and use them from 1 foot to whatever. The Jelly worm is kind of a forgotten bait . Been using a lot of Scumpernong color lately .

Baitcast Reel That Did It For You
The reel that hooked me on baitcasters was an Ambassaduer 5000. Once I put high speed gears in it and a big handle on it , I never looked back . Its a clunker compared to what I use now but for the time it was a well performing bass reel .

Colors For Brown And Green Water
I saw that Glen and I pretty much follow it exactly. I guess i'm just getting too technical regarding water color. I was looking at the Mepps website and they were showing what their lures looked like in different water colors . It is interesting and thought some of the well traveled anglers had preferences .

Colors For Brown And Green Water
I dont think so. I feel the more details I get right the more fish I will catch and color is a big part , particuarly in shallow water not so much in deep . I'm not satisfied in catching a few fish my goal is to catch fish after fish .

Preferred Square Bills
I want to catch lots of fish, 50 to 100 a day . Rattleless crankbaits , I feel , are usually better than noisy. The crank should be multi colored , broken up , scale pattern ... Bluegill patterns work well in "Green " water . I dont even toss a crankbait with a wide wobble any more. A tight action, easy throbbing lure gets more bites. If the lure is not running straight it will not catch many fish . Theres a lot of fish out there , most of the ones that see a crankbait are not going to hit it . The more negatives that are eliminated the more bites it will get . A bluegill colored tight wiggling , easy throbbing Big Jim is a lure that routinely catches 50 to 100 fish a day for me . It does not work everytime , no lure does .

Confidence Fishing
Keep catching those small fish , big ones will come . Some people fish for one bite . I fish for fifty bites plus that big one . Its a lot more fun .

Who Uses A T-Rigged Crawfish?
I have craws , lizards and worms twisting often . I try to get them straight but it happens. I dont worry too much about it. They will still get bit . Line twist is a nuisance though .

Colors For Brown And Green Water
Of course it can be answered. If fishing green water what are your initial choices? If not productive then change . Brown same question. I often match the water color as close as I can with a hint of chartreuse on the tail. Id just like to know what others use .

Colors For Brown And Green Water
I run into tea colored water in autumn, from all the leaves brewing . Mud brown in spring and after heavy rains but green is the most prevalent that I fish . I have my favorite colors but like to get other peoples experiences .

Colors For Brown And Green Water
I wasnt very clear with my question . Do you treat brown ,red and green waters differently ?
-
Stealth Mode Not Enough
Sounds like a hard place to fish . If you havent tried reeling super fast with baits that dont have a lot of action , then I would try that . Like a MR Twister Sassy Shad for example .

Thrown Baits - What To Cast Next?
Me too . I always cast back . I might quickly check my lure , though .

Colors For Brown And Green Water
Stained water comes in many hues . I see brown stained and green stained a lot. Down south Im guessing there is red stained from all the red clay . Do any of you choose lure colors , particularly soft plastics ,differently for the color of the water ?
