  1. I havent heard " M F" uttered this much since the last Samuel Jackson movie .
  2. If you are referring to the ones that slide down the line , they only work from a boat , or you have to be right over the snagged lure .
  3. If I start later in the day then thats less time there is to fish . I like to put the time in .Less chance of getting skunked . ?
  4. For catfish and carp I use my old heavy bass flipping rods paired with old Quantum 1310 MG's .
  5. I caught the suck bug too .Hooked the boat up yesterday and fished Mark Twain lake . 8 hours and one bass . That was humbling . Did manage a 5 lb flathead . I kept a close eye on the gulls and pelicans and fishing sucked for them too . The wind was coming from the east . Hows that saying go . "Wind from the east fishing sucks"
  6. I had one . Never could figure out how to rig it .
  7. We had beagles growing up and grandpa had bassets . Not the cute little bassets that you see today . Ones about twice as large . We wore the rabbits out with those hounds . Then my best friend had a pointer . We didnt bird hunt so that was a fun dog to hunt with. It would point the rabbit , then one of us kick it out and the other one shoot it . I havent had rabbit in many years . Fried rabbit stewed in a crock pot with gravy is da bomb .
  8. It would be wise for Tournament officials at all levels invest in an inexpensive Garrett Pin Pointer metal detector and randomly check fish
  9. Spinnerbaits are like that . There are days when I fish them exclusively and never snag it . I dont shy away from cover either , chuck it right up in there .
  10. Have to start passing fish through a metal detector .
  11. They had 25 lbs without the added weight .
  12. A cousin brought some smoked venison backstraps to the last family reunion . That disappeared fast . There was no going back for seconds .
  13. Once soft plastics catch a bass or yanked out of a snag the head ,where the hook enters and exits becomes damaged , making it susceptible to balling up . There are a lot of different ways to peg them in place . I use a strand from a jig weed guard .
  14. I like Yum Dingers because they weigh more than traditional worms ,making them easier to pitch and a lot less expensive than senkos. Also I can then use the torn up ones as Ned baits . As far as casting I'm not picky . Jelly worms , trick worms , generic worms... bass bite them all .Throw in some tubes and I'm pretty much set .
  15. Oyster and hen of the woods mushrooms .
  16. Bomber Model A crankbait .
  17. There are no docks around here but when I visit LOZ or Table Rock I'll try it and others ..
  18. I had ground hornets work me over good twice . Once while mowing grass and the other when I uncovered their lair by moving a landscape timber .
  19. That will work . I've used skirts very similar to that a ton .
  20. Ive never used an o-ring on a worm but dont some people just use half an ink pen which would be free? I wouldnt spend ten dollars on that .
  21. I pour my own and got these from Janns Netcraft . 4.5 size . They are the cheapest brass ones they sell . When it got tarnished a little bit , I rubbed it down with Brasso . That shined it up before taking on this bluegill looking patina after a little use .
