  1. Dont know . But I catch bass late in the year on the end of points Dont know. But I fish from the end of points to the back of pockets in the spring to catch bass.
  2. I still have a few Mudbugs , havent used them in a long time . The time and place was very specific for me . I like them when and where a lot of folks throw Warts . Early Spring along steep rocky banks.
  3. I use baits that are so old that they're new again .
  4. The plier based Leatherman gets taken on fishing trips. I have skinned and cleaned catfish with it right on the river bank .I am constantly touching up hooks with the diamond file . I carry a SAK all the time . It gets employed several times a day . The most used tool is the toothpick .
  5. Thats what I have with those little rubber collars .
  6. I use a Bushnell clip-on light from Wal-Mart with a red light setting . As far as back-lash free casting its not a problem . If you can cast during the day you should be able at night .
  7. I usually fish with a leatherman on my belt and carry a SAK all the time .
  8. I did great until late summer when a series of events kept me from catching bass, most notably a lot of bass died on my favorite lake . I had equipment catch on fire , fuel lines clogged and extremely windy days just kept me grounded.
  9. Hermanoff Cherry
  10. I'm suspect on those articles . A touring pro goes to a private lake hes never been to , usually fishes the dam first then motors up lake to fish an obscure rock pile . Smells fishy to me.
  11. I hate spinning gear and use it sparingly . I suck with it and lose a lot of bass .
  12. I took the shots . No side effects . I think the covid shots screwed up my heart rhythm for several months .
  13. I would likely chuck a Spinnerbait , buzzbait , squarebill , worm , cover water then fish the cover more thoroughly . Cold rain this time of year as far South as Oklahoma , I speculate they will still bite moving baits .
  14. I dont understand .
  15. I almost always use gold as the main blade . In extremely muddy water I use copper . I dont want maximum flash . When the bass hones in on the bait I want it hitting the hook not the blades . A gold copper combination works well for me . I use it a lot when bluegills are being targeted or around beds .
  16. I plan on going tomorrow on a lake I havent visited in many years . The wind and mechanical failures have kept me off the water for about a month . I'm back in business now . I'm simply going to cruise the shoreline and fish .
  17. Try again .
  18. I think so . I've been on groups where a bass was caught almost every cast . It took absolutely no skill to catch them .
  19. I'd toss most every lure category with it . Just find out what weight it handles the best and stick to it .
  20. Hows the wind been ? Its been brutal here . Havent fished in three weeks . The weather report is predicting manageable winds later this week but with dropping temperatures . Rip rap and steep rocky banks have been productive in the past during Indian summer days with med diving crankbaits . The 100 acre lake I plan on fishing isnt built like that . I'm just going to start at the dam and fish my way all the way around it .
  21. Both times I visited it was high . The first time we launched on the road leading to the ramp and fished picnic tables .
  22. I have caught a lot of bass in irrigation ditches and land-locked ox-bow lakes . They have pretty much silted in now and I dont know where to find more . Little plastic boat , 10 foot jon boat and canoes is how I accessed them .
