  1. Soft jerbaits: 3 Bass Assassin, 4 Finesse Fish, 4 Sluggo Spring: Slider 1.5" Crappie/Pan Fish Grub; Tubes: 3 Screwtail Minnow (don't know what they're called after all these years or even if they're still made, but I got plenty). Summer: 4 Berkley Finesse Worm Hand Pour. Fall: G.Y. Fat Ika.
  2. All the way? LET'S HOPE NOT!!! J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets
  3. Thanks. I suffered with the disastrous coaching years of Rich Kotite, Pete Carroll and Lou Holtz... not to mention the years with Richard Todd as quarterback. It's about time I get some love. :'(
  4. As a lifelong JETS fan, I'm predicting a Jets win against the Pats. (I'm also predicting that I'll catch the state record smallmouth this spring.)
  5. Once the early bite ends I usually go to deep water (20 ft 28 ft looking for baitfish) around Epply Island for Smallmouth, utilizing Jigging Spoons. I go to heavier weeds on shorelines in 4ft to 12ft depth fishing Jig&Pigs and Fat Ikas very slowly, and letting them sit for a while before starting to work the bait. And also I go all the way up to the beginning of the lake where it begins (in the no wake zone), and work my way back to the main lake fishing the channel only with tube baits for both LM and SM.
  6. Ah, Spruce Run, my 2nd favorite lake in NJ. If you are not very familiar with the lake and wish to fish for bass: Go directly across from the boat launch to the opposite shoreline. Start at the point (which starts after the cove to the right of the Restricted Area) and go right... fishing the shoreline up to the Limit of Public Use area. 5 Senko type baits, Fat Ika's (rigged backwards), 4 straight worms rigged on Slider jigs, soft jerkbaits and spinnerbaits have worked best for me. (you might pick up a Striper or two also). Here is a map for you (good luck): http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/lakes/sprucern.pdf
  7. Will send PM on Fairview.
  8. Last 3 letters of my name... and have allways been addicted to the ellipsis.
  9. In the old days of the Bassmaster Classic, I sorta remember contenders only were allowed 10 pounds of lures. What would you do, if the night before the Classic, tournament officials notified everyone that they were once again only allowed 10 pounds of lures?
  10. The Quiet Man. (I'm doing this on my kids wii... cool)
  11. A. Move south. B. Create some of your own designs of frogs over the hard water months and test them out in the summer. (some old frogs to both customize and melt plastic in microwave if you create your own mold out of plaster of paris, a sissors and a lighter is all you need). C. Develop a love of jigging spoons... at least these work 12 months of the year if you live in the frozen north.
  12. Thanks. Had C-6 removed. Surgeon was right, hip surgery is more painful than throat surgery. Now I can truthfully sing Neck bone is connected to the hip bone. Was excited and called my wife while in recovery and told her I was able to make a rod casting motion without pain shooting from neck through shoulder and arm. Hope to be good by the time the hard water softens. One complication, and for at least 3 weeks I can't: work, drive a car, lift anything over 10 lbs and have to wear a neck brace the whole time. Pain is intense. Been up 3 hours now in pain, but meds are starting to kick in.
  13. What and miss the NY Jets win the AFC championship game. Are you crazy? One of these days I will make one of these meet-ups. On Monday I'm having a disk removed from the spine in the neck a result of an auto accident. Will be recouping on the 24th. Don't spend toooo much! Then again that new Revo Torro Winch looks mighty fine.
  14. Realizing, come each spring, that you're just not as good as you thought you were the preceding winter when you spent untold hours sorting, cleaning, organizing, and consolidating your lures and tackle and of course ordering the new stuff you just gotta have in order to be successful.

Marcia, good to hear from you. I had also been wondering what happened to you. I always looked for you in the WBT standings. My heart goes out to you, and I have the utmost respect for all the ladies who had the guts to chase the dream. Hopefully when one door closes, another opens. I was in a car accident last year, which has unabeled me to fish, and am looking at a similar operation on the neck to have two disks removed. It is a hard decision to make when you weigh what you have lost against what you can lose.

Sorry to hear the news about the WBT . I had hoped that BASS, with all their resources, could have made a women's tour successful. Sometimes I wonder if the cast of mind at BASS hasn't become It's always darkest right before the pitch black.
  17. Are you sure he wasn't' just tired of catching dinks, and wanted a shot at a new world record bass in the land of the rising sun?
  18. zdunham, that Smallie is a beauty. I haven't been out since spring due to shoulder problems (Haven't even put a hitch on the SUV). Wish I could get to Beltzville one more time before the hard water comes. Now is the time for jigging spoons and drop shots for the big Smallies (and the shoulder could handle vertical fishing), but alas no way to get the boat there. :'(
  19. Waiting to hear if George Soros was also part of the group, and if so, the NFL's position on him. Maybe it's time to strip the NFL of its antitrust exemption.

Don't know if I'm in any trouble or not, but my wife just sent me this video in an email without any explanation. I guess I'll find out later. Better plan on taking her out tonight just in case.
  21. Something like this... cheap and simple http://www.thingsyouneverknew.com/product/scaryhalloweenthings/novelties/remote+control+annoying+sounds+machine.do
  22. Try being a NY Jets fan. Forty years of frustration, occasionally interrupted be a short-lived glimmer of hope.
