  8. I fish Blue Cypress lake all year round. it is lined with cypress trees all around. thus the name. I fish with jigs, weightless worms, squarebills, spinnerbaits and topwater plugs.work the whole tree from the base to all the root system. some of the roots or knees will go out quite a ways from the base so keep that in mind when working a tree. like Captain Phil said, some of you best fishing comes in the winter around a cypress tree.
  9. added small willow blades to the back of my worms years ago. now everyone uses them. still do it to this day though.
  10. been here in Fl. my whole life and snakes worry me more than a gator. leave em alone and they will leave you alone. they spook easier than a snake. you will not see a snake before it bites..........unless it rattles. just sayin......
  11. when I retire I will fish as much as I can.if it's everyday, great. If not that's ok also.but just the fact that I have the chance to do what I love to do will be great.

  19. I still use my 4600's for bombing big spinnerbaits, traps over grass flats.reel is a bit heavier and bigger than the low profile reels but it is bulletproof as all get out. reliable as anything I own. east to clean, modify, upgrade etc.love em.
  20. BassAssasin 5" shad in any color as long as it's Native Shiner..
  21. I have found when I use braid 20 lb. or smaller that when I set the hook hard it digs in. and when I go to make a cast it gets all out of whack. but bigger line say above 30-on up it doesn't happen as much. that is why I use smaller braid on spinning gear.
  22. it will work to answer your question. I use 50 for frogs in Fl. won't dig in like 30 lb.
  23. they look great.love the finish.
