Flipping in Fl. is like playing basketball in Kentucky,it's mandatory. I carry 3 sticks at all times with me 2- 7'6" rods and an 8 footer. all were made by me.8 footer is my dedicated punching rod. the other 2 are for everything else flipping and pitching.

sometimes will use no weight when really shallow,2-4 foot deep. when I go a little deeper maybe 1/8-1/4 oz. here in Florida deep is a relative term. I usually use a 3 prong rig. easier to manage.

2 places come to mind.....1 the bathroom, don't need to explain.the other is the local golf course where I have fished for over 50 years. the back nine has a couple places that are very quiet and secluded.no one bothers me there.

Bass Assasin has a few colors that will meet your needs. also an Echo 1.75 crankbait in gold and black is awesome.

all of em when in the boat,19 . 2 or 3 when walking the bank.

traps are a go to bait.hard jerk baits,jigs. also try a buzz bait,sounds weird but it can work. when the water gets high fish scatter so keep moving until you find some.try changing speeds and also dead sticking a worm will work.
