  2. fished my first tourney was when I was 16. it was the Brevard County annual tourney on the St. Johns at Lake Poinsett.that was 44 years ago. just fished latest tourney at the same location 2 weeks ago and got 6th place. have been in clubs all over the county.been tournament director for 2 clubs. still fish about 10-12 a year. just love the whole thing about it.just not ready to get it out of my system.
  3. I like to switch up locations for variety. really no other reason.
  4. Bomber 13A is great,Husky Jerk also is a favorite.
  5. Miss Cape Canaveral or Ocean Obsession are the two that have been the best for years.
  6. I work at the Space Center and we fish the Port all year round. Party boat would be great but I would also go to Toho if I had to choose.

  9. I like to watch old videos with Doug Hannon. Glenn has great ones to. Hooked on Headwaters is a good one also. Otherwise I just go fishing myself. That's where I want to be anyway.

  12. I learn something anytime I go on or near the water. At least I pay as much attention to my surroundings. That is what I have learned over the years is to pay attention.
  13. clip on light when tying only, bugs will eat you alive when there is light . Otherwise everything else same as in daylight.

  18. had to stop for about 6 months when my Dad got cancer to help him and Mom with treatments. moved to Gainesville for that time but never quit. I don't think I could quit.
  19. I still use older Ambassadeurs. 4500,5500 30 year old promax and blackmax.......but I'm also vintage.........
  20. I love round reels. use them more than any other reels I got.
  21. anytime in Florida is trophy time..........I'm biased though.
  22. I fish all the lakes mentioned and Headwaters now is what the Stick Marsh was when it first opened. Sure you can catch em on artificals.Most guides throw shiners.just like any other Florida fishery when you find em slow down and work the area thoroughly.Stick Marsh is not what it was back in the day, but it fishes totally different than the old days. more offshore fishing than before.still I would fish it before Headwaters because I have way more time on it. Garcia further down the road is an awesome fishery also.Blue Cypress is also on my list of favorites.
  23. I am in central Florida..........that's all I really need to say. 12 months a year fishing for whatever is swimming.freshwater,saltwater. lakes, ponds,rivers,etc. got it all here. guess I did have more to say.......LOL....
