  4. Spook........in the wind is the best bait for me by far. and in not so windy days.
  5. have tried all of 7 different brands over the years of flouro. and still only use Big Game............just can't get with it......maybe it's just me, but after reading other posts, it's not.
  6. 5 up 5 down............then you do the hokey pokey......... you know the rest....
  7. first I use braid on all my spinning rods. 3 are spooled with 10 lb. the other 2 with 15. all power pro original. love the stuff never had an issue with it. all of them are at least 2 years running. easier to manage when throwing lighter lures, just as sensitive than heavier line and strong as all get out.
  8. Timequake-----Kurt Vonnegut.
  9. pay attention to what's going on around you.and, patience, patience,patience........
  10. Welcome ! and do this.Mike L is right on. Fl. fishing can be tough at times but once you get it you can catch em year round.
  11. right where I'm at. 5 minutes to the St. Johns River, 5 minutes to the Indian River(salt). passed on a job offer a few years ago because it would have been over an hours drive to the nearest body of water to fish. when I win the lottery I'm staying put. but just gonna travel more to other bodies of water all over this country. lots of road trips.but this is my home.
  12. catching a P.B.,cause anything bigger and I could die a very happy man. not that I wanna go anytime soon..........
  13. shadow shad rap is the ticket.
  14. for me it's everything about it. knowing i'm going, getting everything ready.the planning, all of it, but what makes my heart skip a beat is when your rod almost gets ripped out of your hand when the fish attacks whatever bait is tied on. that's what keeps me going back..............
  15. this.......and nothing else......
  16. crypt replied to Baitmaker's topic in Tacklemaking
holy cow they look perfect. beautiful as always.
  17. Bomber Squarebill bream pattern.
  18. biggest I use is 8 foot.built it using an MHX blank.no need to go any longer.also have 3- 7'6" and a 7'3" ......I do a lot of flipping, pitching, punching. hey it's Florida what else are ya gonna do? but anything bigger is gonna be to cumbersome/heavy if your gonna be doing it all day long. 8 is my max length.
  19. flip a coin and close your eyes........
  20. this is what my nephew uses.
  21. use the 7 footer for topwater, small crank baits.6'9" for traps etc. also can be used for worming, weightless or Texas rigged etc. perfect combos for any type of fishing.you got a nice wife there.
  22. this.............x2
  23. same here,I use 10 lb. power pro. on my light stuff.has diameter of 2 lb. test. all my light spinning reels have either 10-15 lb. test braid.Diameter is the key when using braid.plus you can put more line on the reel.you also won't have to change it as often.I have 2 reels that have 2 year old braid on them.
