  1. Great game! Leiter threw amazing!!! Just goes to show that one good swing of the bat is all it takes sometimes.
  2. Any carp in the lake?
  3. Back in my single days, you had to be in the right spot. If there were no(or few) ladies there, you were limited. Now, sometimes the competition was tough so trying to find out what they were biting was the key. But, you can't catch them if they aren't there.
  4. Once again, I don't like to brag but I am super proud of this team. This is the third year in a row that we have made it to the state tournament. This is our last year of 12u softball so hopefully we can make a better showing than we did last year. These girls have worked their butts off this year. Since I have been doing more coaching than fishing, I figured I might as well post this. We finished the season 15-0 with a total of 142 runs scored and 27 runs allowed.
  5. Good deal! Until they notice a loss in their bottomline, they won't see any reason to change. Better order in August to get them in time for Christmas.
  6. Just shop elsewhere, show TW they need to do better by taking your business somewhere else. Pretty simple.
  7. If only they would tell you https://www.tacklewarehouse.com//catpage-SHIPUPDATE.html
  8. No advice since braid is "cheating". I have heard a lot of theories, but that is a new one.
  9. I'm not a Tenn or Miss St fan, but after reading all of the Razorback chatter on different forums, I was just glad to see them fall short.
  10. I thought about this thread earlier. After watching the WCWS and talking about how fast they were throwing the ball I told my daughter that she had a long way to go to get to that level. Those girls were throwing (68-72) or so and she asked me what the fastest pitch ever was. I Googled it and the official record is Monica Abbott at 77 mph. But there is a story of some guy from the 40's who threw it 104 mph. Now that's just ridiculous that anyone would believe that. But much like the bearded lady and two headed baby, a lot went on back then that people just went along with for the "freak" factor. I am NOT saying Perry lied or tried to lie to simply win a contest, but the world was a different place back then. It does amaze me that the IGFA has such strict rules to claim a WR but this was grandfathered in with apparently no questions at all.
  11. One thing about it, it will be hard to convince yourself otherwise since you have already claimed it to be your dream rod for chatterbaits. LOL!!!
  12. I don't feel bad when I beat my own kids at anything. Fishing, basketball, checkers, video games, etc. I have never let anyone beat me at anything. I have been beat plenty of times, but not because I felt sorry for anyone.
  13. For those who like World Record drama, look at the Milo Hanson buck. The Perry bass arguments are nothing compared to the Hanson buck.
  14. I like them on slick calm water. Pop, pop, pause, reel slack and repeat. Any lil bit of wind and I go to a spook, more wind and it's a buzz bait or whopper plopper.
  15. The Perry bass was also "supposedly" 32.5" long with a girth of 28.5". That puts it at closer to 26 lbs. It just doesn't add up in my mind.
  16. Those are my favorite, that's "my" spot. There's a REALLY good chance if someone has a "spot", there are a bunch of people who also share that spot.
  17. I own both, the Bantam is an awesome reel and the 20 Met is just as good (or better) but for jigs, the Bantam just feels so solid and smooth they are hard to beat.
  18. I don't buy it for a second, but it is what it is. Even if it isn't a legit weight, it is crazy it has been that many years since it has been beat. I don't count Dottie or the Kurita fish either though. Just call me a skeptic. LOL
  19. Taco sauce
  20. Congratulations!!!!!!
  21. I agree ^^^^^ Not impressed at all. Those images don't appear to be as good as LS.
  22. No doubt about it........Softball parents (while pointing at myself) LOL
