I have ordered probably 20 or more reels from Asian Portal and they have been GREAT every time! I have never had to pay a fee for a reel from them. It has been a while, so something may have changed, but I can tell you those have been my experiences.

That was short lived. LOL

Tomorrow marks the 20 year anniversary of the most tragic event for the country that I have lived through. It is one of those events that is seared in my memory and I can remember every detail of that day, as I'm sure most of you can as well. I was getting ready to go to my college history class and I was watching TV. They broke in and said a plane had hit one of the twin towers and I watched as they broadcast the second plane hit. That's when everyone knew the US was under attack. I got ready and went ahead and went to school. About halfway through class they closed campus and sent everyone home. I had to be at work at 3:30 that afternoon and I needed gas. I remember the lines to get gas were wrapped around the block. When I got to work I remember the attitudes of everyone and how mad, scared, sad, etc. the emotions were that evening. My story is one of just an average American, I know this event had such a large impact on so many lives that even 20 years later it still seems unreal that something like this happened.

I agree to an extent. I guess the only thing I can say about it is that they still only compete against the guys fishing on the same day. So if you are in group A, you only fish against those guys on the same days which makes it fair in my eyes. Group A winner might have 100lbs and group B winner might have 80lbs, but as long as you are only competing against the guys fishing on the same day as you, I see no problem with the format.

If I remember correctly, when they fished the 3 in NC, they did the qualifying rounds (4 days) at one lake, the knockout rounds (2 days) at one lake and then the championship on the third lake. I could be wrong, but I think that is what they did.

I know I am stating the obvious, but dang they are good! Only two returning starters on Offense and they look like a well oiled machine. Going to be tough to beat for sure.

Here is a little known weather fact that I just recently learned. When you see a weather map of your area and it says 50% chance of rain in the shaded area, it doesn't mean that there is a 50% chance that area will see rain. It actually means there is a 100% chance that 50% of that area will receive rain. That blew my mind and it was confirmed to me by a local meteorologist I spoke to one day at a softball tournament.

Weber Spirit for grilling. Usually chicken breasts, burgers, hot dogs, steaks, pork chops, etc. Blackstone 36" griddle. Mainly breakfast stuff (pancakes, hash browns, bacon, sausage, eggs) but also fajitas, and also searing steaks after a good smoke. Traeger smoker. As already mentioned I might smoke some steaks on low temp and sear them on the BS, also ribs, pork butt, pork loin, and my wifes favorite - jalepeno poppers. I also use all 3 for different things, especially when it comes to my vegetables, just depends on how and what I am cooking.

I was fishing with my buddy this past Spring, both throwing a sweet beaver (low blow) into the same areas with braided line. He was using 1/4 oz and I was using 5/16. I was out-fishing him 5-1. He said there was no way 1/16 oz made a difference, then a couple hours later he said, I guess I need to order some 5/16 oz weights.

That's what I usually use. They had some called TD or something like that one time and they were really good. Seemed to have a little more meat on them.

No pics needed, sounds delicious. What brand wings do you use? I have found some that I like better than others, but I am guessing it may be a regional thing where what you use may not be available here.

This one would probably only be a one time deal. A team tourney with the best in the world and they pick their teammate. So maybe DC and MDJ or Matt Lee and Jordan Lee for example. 4 day tournament. First day-both anglers fish, weigh all fish over 2lbs, CWR, add weights of both anglers. Second day-both anglers fish, only count the 10 biggest (5 per angler) CWR. 3rd day-only one angler fishes, weigh all fish over 2lbs, CWR. Last day-only one angler fishes, 5 biggest and bring them to the scales.
