  1. Is Pro-Tec powder paint the same thing as automotive powder paint?
  2. x2 Norman speed clips!
  3. Toss up between a Netbait T-Mac (Bama Craw) rigged on a 1/4 Shake2 or a KVD 2.5 Sexy Shad. I caught an 8lb smallie on the 2.5, but the bulk of my fish have been coming on the T-Mac.
  4. The KVD 1.0 Squarebill is a fun "finessish" crankbait
  5. They just use that plastisol stuff?
  6. There was a webpage from China where you can order unpainted cranks and jerks for cheap, does anyone have the link? I cant find it on google.
  7. I've recently started making wooden swim baits. I was wondering where I can find rubber fins/tails, i'd like to use them over using bristles.
  8. St Croix Legend Tournament or a Legend Xtreme... that is all.
  9. I use a LXC72MM for small squarebills such as KVD 1.0 and 1.5 with 10lb Invisx and I find it perfect for the smaller hooks. As for bigger KVD 2.5s and bigger LC squarebills I use a LXC76MHMF with 15lb Invisx.
  10. Could have been a lot of things. 1. If ur drag is set to high you'll just rip the bait right out of the fishes mouth. 2. Your line choice + rod isn't to bad because of the stretch from mono. But personally I prefer a low stretch Floro with a moderate rod.
  11. I'm used to fishing a lot of spinners, cranks and jerkbaits. This year I vowed to use more jigs. I learned quickly to be patient and work them slow. I also found that while fishing bottom contact jigs ie. Footballs or finesse jigs work them like a craw fish would move in the water. Pop it two or three times then let the jig contact the bottom so the skirt flares out, let it sit for a ten count or slowly drag it for a few feet, and repeat. Its all rhythm IMO.
  12. for direct hook tying I use a snell knot right on the hook, for lures I go with a Palomar
  13. Also if you want a d**n good finesse worm, try the Netbait T-Mac you get like 20 worms for $3.50 and awesome colors to boot, my personal favorite is Alabama Craw
  14. 90% of the time I use 1/4 perfect weight to keep contact with the bottom, if its windy I go up to 1/2
  15. Megastrike ShakeE2 or Gamakatsu Standup Alien heads
  16. The Abu Garcia LTZ comes with an extra spool. But you can contact the manufacturer for parts. Most spools that I've bought are around $25-40 just for the bare spool (No breaks, bearing or spool shaft pin)
  17. FIsh it with a floro leader
  18. Bill Dance, Mark Zona and Dave Mercer - I think id be laughing more then fishing though.
  19. Only fish I ever bring home are walleye, just cant bring myself to throw them back - to tasty.
  20. Eeek, makes me glad I live in the middle of no where.
  21. Nice find, I wouldn't even try to tune them or touch them up (maybe remove dirty and dust) and keep the patina and put them in my man cave.
