Here's my question, Is it legal to buy materials (pre formed jigs, skirts, crankbaits etc.) then customizing them (sanding and repainting a crank bait, or using pre formed jig heads and putting the skirt on) then reselling them?

So, my platoon and I went for a "professional development" hike in Algonquin Park to this natural water slide cut into the rapids out there. Anyway I decided to bring a fishing rod and a few lures and what not. Once we got there everyone was swimming in the water and I cast my line out and start reeling in. The crank bait I was using dug into something that felt like a log, so I kept reeling in. When the line got closer and closer I could make out this white/fleshy thing that kind of looked like a human. Once I got it close enough I realized it was a dead deer, all of its fur missing and parts of it where turning green, and all these tadpole looking things where attached to it. It was worse then anything I've smelt oversea's. *YUCK* *PS* We assumed it fell through the ice over the winter

When it comes to fishing rods I strictly use St Croix. When it comes to reels, its strictly Abu for me. Here's my story though. About two years ago I was given a 6'6 M/F Abu Rod for fathers day, but I lost the receipt. Long story short I broke the rod August 2012 on a hook set right above the 4th guide. I left the rod in my basement, thinking I dont have the receipt they wont cover the warranty. I got bored last night and I sent them an email of what happened and telling them I didn't have the receipt - And they said it was fine, as long as I sent them a picture of where the rod broke and the model number on it and they will replace it w/o the receipt, just have to send the rod back to them with a $9.95 check or money order for the shipping back to me. Thumbs up to Abu!

All I use are St Croix rods and have a mix of 25 Extremes, LTBs, and MBs, and personally I perfer to use the LT's.

Every baitcaster I've bought before you could spin the handle on it and it goes around freely like 3 to 4 times. My dilemma is when I spin the handle on the winch it only goes around like 1 1/2 to 2 times and it looks sluggish all the brakes are disengaged and the spool tension knob is really low, is this normal because of the bigger gears it has or maybe they come with to much oil? Any idea would help.
