Current Whopper Plopper 110 Set Up ?
What size are you throwing, the 110? I'm loving this lure. I love the 110 and 130 size. Typically I'll throw the 130s on a 4 power rod. 110 size is what I throw the most a powell 683 and lews tp 7:1. I have quickly tied one on to a 723 powell endurance, with same reel. Generally I think you can stick to a Medium rod, or even MH for the 110. The 130, start thinking about a stouter rod.

Your swim jig setups
Endurance 714 with Lews Tp 6:1 with 50lb braid. I'll also throw them on Endurance 723 with a Lews Tp and 30 lb braid from time to time, especially if I want to tie on 1/4 oz with a compact trailer. I really like the kietech swing impact, but I'll also throw a rage swimmer or a rage craw.. I just got a new tatula 7'1 heavy and put an Origin C on it.. it will probably get bladed jig and swim jig action too. Just spooled it with 50lb braid a couple hours ago

Anyone have a lews tournament pro lfs
It will be just fine then. I have one on a Endurance 714, that I use for jigs, swim jigs, and pitching. Make no mistake, they are great reels .. but I agree with you... for 200 bucks they arent that special. For 140 they are a steal. It's just a solid well made reel. Cant speak for the bb1 I was disappointed with the last one and sold it.

Anyone have a lews tournament pro lfs
I have 6 of them. They run 200 msrp but can be easily found for 140-150. TBH it's kinda average at the 200 price point but one of the top out there when u can find them for 140. Breaks are fairly smooth on them, good casters and ok with weightless soft plastics so long as it using a decent rod. I've had the majority of mine for 7 plus years. The gears arent silent any more, but they aren't grinding either. I havent had any mechanical issues out of them. You simply CANT beat them for the price. I bought a bb1 when they brought them back in 2014, it's ok, but not special. I have 99 dollar lews speed spool that I like better than the bb1.

Most Expensive Set Up
Dx 744 and Core reel. I got them both 25 percent off 6 years ago. That's the only real high end I have, everything else is mid range. Even at mid range I scour the interweb to get a break. It's crazy how nice the tatulas rods are and they are under 200... crazy good combo bro.

Mail call! Tatula 7'1 heavy came in today. Now to slide some 50 lb braid on this new Origin C. Its feels really good on the rod... it's looks sweet too! Now just 2 more rods to buy.... be a shame to leave these reels without rods. Pardon my camera guys, got a shattered lens on a 4 year old phone. Too busy buying gear to worry about a phone.

How to fish a Slug-Go
Wow I forgot about those. I'm definitely gonna give it a try on the carolina rig. Either way you rig it, sounds like a good lure year round. Thanks Glenn! Good video!

New to bass fishing.
Welcome to BR. Those colors and baits that you showed are spot on. Great job that's a good place to start They are staple colors and baits that almost all of us have. I stick to the greens and natural colors. Black and blues are great too when the water is stained or its cloudy. Be sure to go to.the main page and read a lot of the articles and.watch the videos..There's a lot of good stuff on there I wouldn't assume, that there's bass there, walk the bank and really be observant, look for cruising bass or bass on the beds. Also look for bass chasing bait in the pond. Get those hooks wet and find em!

Poll: Best Chatterbait Rod
There's always gonna be a divide. There's the ones for slower tapers and those for using worm/jig/spinner bait rods. I think it boils down to the specific rod tapers and personal preference. not all mh fast are the same. I personally use an all purpose rod Powell 723 or or one of.my.two jig rods, dx 734 or Endurance 714. Fast taper, is what works for me. It was what I had long before I could buy a glass alternative. Can I catch them on a crankbait rod, specialty rod or glass rod?, yes.. I may have to adjust a little from what I'm used to. I love collecting and buying rods and tackle, but chatterbaits have been around for 15 years (at least) and that was well before the great.insurgency of companies building a glass or composite lineup . If I decide that.bouncing a pitching jig isnt.working and.I begin to roll cast it further and swim it (now I am using a swim j) , I don't change rods...I stick with my jig rod or rod that I'm using. I do the same for.soft plastics. ONLY EXCEPTION would be is it I were to be losing fish consistently..hasn't happened yet I'm sure the rods can't hurt with hook up ratio, but I also am cognizant that the rods companies and.fishing industry wants us all to have a rod.for every single bait..It sells more rods. As for me, I'll stick with a well rounded line up knowing I have multiple choices for the conditions I fish, cover, depth, lure weight, and not the specific lures I throw. At some point it gets ridiculous having a rod foe.EVERY BAIT. My old 723 has done so many different baits that I bought a duplicate several years ago just as back up

What NFL team won in the draft.?
Pete carols first 4 picks were money in the bank... it won them a super bowl and was one play away from winning 2. So I'm with you... you really have to look back after several years to see what it looked like. I think Miami did well but like you said gotta wait and see. But it's hard to judge a bad team with picks even if they did good... all those players that teams got will struggle some or their accomplishments wont be visible if their team sticks and they dont have alot of help

BPS excel mono/mono recommendation
I just dont buy BPS line. Theres better options out there for less. I had their xps line years ago and I gave a big spool away. I'm not putting money in their pocket for a product that's inferior just beciase it has their label on it. I'll use big game before I use their stuff. Sun line, suffix, p line, stren and Berkley make good monos. Super natural and suffix seige is what I have in the shed. I also have a big spool of.big game.

Need Advice For Catching Stripers Rigging Advice
I'm way over here in nc, so cant.really.help you much with you make other than remind you of a few little things. While you are walking the bank keep an eye out for bait fish, look for birds, and any possible ambush points for the fish. Stripers are vicious when it comes to chasing balls of baits. Down my way they love threadfin shad and small gizzards shad. I have never attempted to catch stripers on anything other than live shad or artificial lure. Sorry no experience using livers. On the other hand I have caught a load of them on spinner baits, soft paddle tail swimbaits, small hard body swimbaits, and Alabama rigs. A simple rig that used the other day to catch them here on the river was a 4inch Kietech east shiner on 3/8 ounce head. You can.go up in size and weight of you please. I just take into account now deep I'm fishing it, how fast.I'm fishing, and matching the hatch of the size of our bait fish here. I hope this helps. Next time your out, look around and try to identify any bait fish or anything that is there. Top water baits a nd jerks are effective too

My Recent Experience With Shimano/G. Loomis Warranty Service
Not a Loomis owner, but I'm curious, the rod that you broke with the windo, what was the few to replace it, or was There one? And im.guessing you had to pay for shipping I had a rod break from powell several years ago and only had to pay for shipping. They were good to deal with and they were super knowledgeable and they guy.i.spoke with even have me some pretty good insite on rod selection for lures. Glad you had a good dealing with them today.

Whats your Favorite flipping/pitching setup
Once you get an idea of what you want, really dig through the internet and save some.money. Just in the past week, I've found some good deals.... I need more gear like I need a hole in my head, but I got some 13 Origin C's for 55 each. (They msrp for 100) and got a 7'1 Heavy fast Daiwa Tatula rod for 109. They go for 159. That's only 165 for a good pitching combo thst I can get alot of work out of. If you decide on Lews reels, they can always be found at discounted prices, I found dang good prices on tatula reels.

Heavy/extra heavy rod
I'mportant to look at the line and lure ratings on the rods you want. That should help narrow it down. I have no experience with the high end rods, I'm right in the mid range. I'm sure they cant be bad rods. I have mostly powell rods with a few different brands sprinkled in. I have dobyns Champion rod in 4 power and they are the bees knees. I'd look at their 5 and 6 power rods, I'm sure theres some guys in here also that have the heavier adrena or high end shimano rods. Also take a lole a the daiwa tatula elite rods, I was browsing through daiwas website yesterday and saw that they have a 7'4 ish monroe rod that you would probably like.
