  1. minimal.... whistle, gerber river knife, boat registration card since i have a trolling motor
  2. very cool, that 4# fish looks like a 8#er in the kid's hands!!
  3. if you aren't having fun with bluegill and ultralight tackle....... you're doing it wrong
  4. Favorite = jigs in shallowish water Least Favorite = jigs in deep water not sure why, but these feel like 2 different types of fishing altogether for me. i also love some topwater, but it is far from my most productive way of fishing....
  5. plenty of water and gatorade for sure.... i usually pack a couple snacks, just whatever is home.... if i stop by the store i would grab a little debbie oatmeal pie, slim jim and some cool ranch doritos!
  6. i have a few vision 110's that have never seen the water...... yet......
  7. because you were already buying black, green pumpkin and chartreuse.... just needing a little convincing to buy the red is all.....
  8. purdy fish!!!
  9. got that over with.... just pulled the trigger on the 705cb-glass. had to expedite the shipping i was so excited....
  10. i saw a shark while we were swimming off some small island in key west about a month ago. swam right behind the boat and the guy i was with called it a lemon shark. as for me, i called it quits on swimming....
  11. i throw squarebills or mid divers the majority of the time so that would be the primary purpose for the rod, not to mention the waters i fish aren't all that deep anyways. only at certain times would i ever throw something beyond 10 or 12ft diver.
  12. It's not open to the public, nothing for purchase, so no
  13. not sure about the longer lure actually, but it would be a great multi purpose yak... small/big lake, river, pond, that thing would do it all. after seeing some pics of flyfisher's ATAK i really like that thing too, especially the electronics cockpit thing.
  14. all of my spinning reels now have braid (either 10# or 15#) and then a 8# flouro leader when i need/want it
  15. I knew you guys wouldn't let me down and would tell me to get it..... I'm looking at the 705MH because I would like it to also throw some 20ft divers on it and thinking that it would be best if i got the 705.... anybody feel strongly that i should maybe get the 704 instead?
  16. another vote for white python
  17. you'll get a lot of suggestions, mostly to demo as many as possible beforehand.... i have a wilderness ride 135 and it's great, the 115 version is very nice as well... i would look closely at a lure 11.5 if i were in the market for a new one right now. what type of waters do you fish mostly lake, pond, river, etc.?
  18. Any of you want to talk me out of getting this rod during the 15% off deal? Looking at the 7'MH version of the glass crankbait rod. Really wanting to go glass and have been wanting to try a Dobyns so this just seems like a good time, good fit. Any experiences with one? Thanks.
  19. Totally right. Glad I'm not in school anymore!!
  20. Think about it for a minute.... There's 2.2 lb in a kg. say I catch a fish that reads 4.4 I'm stoked! Then realize the 4.4 was kg so really it's a 2 lber... (Probably still stoked)
  21. Pertinent info = it's hot and muggy as h*ll
  22. sounds like a solid choice that would cover more or less every situation
  23. roadkill, watermelon meat, pbj
  24. LOL, thanks for the offer! That Bumblebee swim jig (black/chartreuse) should do some damage on some muddy or stained water for me....
  25. sometimes my scale puts itself into KG mode and my heart jumps for a second!!! then i realize it's KG and my weight goes down by over half....
