  1. i liked the Mann’s crystal flash spinner bait, SK swinging sugar buzz and Megabass Fermata – suspending lipless crank. And of course i liked the Wilderness ATAK but i had already seen that one.
  2. Got my Siebert order in yesterday and good stuff as always, minus the fact I already lost a finesse jig last night at the pond.... 7 Swim jigs 2 Finesse jigs 2 Arky jigs
  3. i've started using them lately as my go-to on the swim jig trailers they have some sweet color options
  4. i had about the exact rod you mention a while back. i bought it as some pflueger combo at BPS, had a trion reel on it. AWESOME rod. Well the moron typing this out left it in the back of the truck after a camping trip (tailgate down) and got home to realize no rod in the back of the truck. Needless to say i was ticked at myself, but was only slightly happy because i had taken the reel off and put it in my backpack that morning so only the rod was lost. it had a little bit of backbone and not too whippy and was either 5'4" or 5'6" can't remember. i recently bought a st croix panfish model 5'4" and it is a little softer than i was hoping, but it will work. i also got it for a great deal so i can really make it work!
  5. all preference to me... i prefer skipping and lighter lures be on the spinning gear, otherwise i usually lean toward baitcaster. i think i have 5 casting rods and 2 spinning rods and use them in about that ratio
  6. nice work Jeff, that's a killer idea.
  7. i've fished many times without an anchor of sorts and felt ok about it.... my depth finder battery died early on me 2 weeks ago and i felt like a child ready to cry... i was blind without it.
  8. i'm guessing skateboard or longboard? either way not a risk for me....
  9. i would say the arky jig
  10. siebert jigs are all i buy, have another order en route today. prefer 3/8oz for most of the fishing i do and the types you listed, but i also like 3/16 or 1/4oz for finesse heads.
  11. it's the knot.... i almost always tie a palomar knot. if i have this issue i just straighten out the knot on the bait and keep fishing.
  12. i'd throw in a rage tail craw or something similar on the drop shot....
  13. skip gap hooks work well for me to keep the bait in place
  14. should have specified that i too feel the best rods are about 6'6 - 6'10". even though i can and do stand a lot, i still fish sitting down so the shorter rods and shorter handles like cottny said. standing in the kayak is a matter of confidence and balancing out your movements. last week i realized i left a rod stored in the hull after i launched so i walked to the front of the kayak, opened the hatch pulled out the rod and walked back in about 25 feet of water. it can be done much easier than you might think. and i'm no little guy necessarily at 6' tall and 215 pounds.
  15. i have some owner wacky hooks size 1, and they work well
  16. for weighted wacky hooks, i picked up some jackall 1/16 oz ball head with weedguard a while back and really like them. makes it a lot easier to fish the senko in deeper water and in wind.
  17. they look awesome and well thought out design. i wouldn't mind havign a second yak myself. i have a ride 135, but it can be a little tough on the river sometimes. i would kind of like to look at a lure 11.5 as a second yak for some tighter waters and the river. i've heard the seat is great, but so is the one on my ride.
  18. all my reels are spooled and ready to go. in fact i'm usually even tying on the first baits i expect to throw at whatever lake i'm fishing next.
  19. i'm one of those that prefer shorter rods in the yak. i don't have any rods over 7' because of it. i can stand, sit, whatever you want in the ride 135 it is super stable. i like to do a mixture of the two, but if the wind is blowing and you stand up it is like launching a sail.
  20. nope, not familiar with those
  21. panther martin spinner 1/8oz my #1 is the black/yellow spots with gold blade, right behind it would be the yellow/red spots with silver blade

  23. I've had them ask me to do both, but if they don't specify, i'd cut the whole section out and send in one piece.
