No Luck On A Jig
i would also vote to downsize the jig as much as possible

What Is The Difference Between A 7' Medium Heavy And A 7'3" Medium Heavy?
the 7'3" is actually .5 inch longer on the handle, the other 2.5 inch difference being in the rod. like catt says, you won't notice much if any difference in a few inches.

Ned Bullet
they do look great and agree that kyle's purple is awesome

How Long...
depends on the tournament. I saw an article about the triton tournament they had earlier on kentucky lake about a bunch of dead bass washing up on shore. in that article, they said the tournament had 2 release boats with aerator tanks and all that good stuff. i assume they disperse the fish a bit rather than dumping in one location.

Land O'lakes Florida: A Joke??
Used to hog hunt a 32,000 acre ranch in land o lakes. little did i know we probably ran around some of the biggest bass i'd ever have a chance to catch in some of those lakes/ponds on this ranch. if you can get some access to one of those neighborhood ponds you should have a good chance at a sizeable bass.... i'd try some of the business complexes that may have a pond, see if you can work your way in there somehow.

Not the best pics for some reason, but you get the idea.... Kayak Transducer Preference
advice or tips on how you use yours? i actually have the yakattack cellblok and have the arm installed on it. it just can be a pain sometimes getting caught in stuff and also seems to be plowing the water so to speak and interfering with the signal. I would prefer to keep with the arm mount, but would like to make sure i'm getting the most out of it too....

Kayak Transducer Preference
I currently have my Lowrance 4xHDI on the ride 135, but feel like the transducer is a pain and could be mounted in a better place. Of the 3 options given, which is your preferred method? Feel free to comment as to why. 1. Through hull 2. Scupper hole mount 3. Arm/Bar hanging over the side of the kayak

Anyone Else Neglecting Their Spinnerbaits
yes i have and felt like i was, so last night i tied one on to throw at the pond this evening.... i've had good luck though with the swim jig so the spinnerbait hasn't had much action this year.

Kayak Boat Control
i'm with darren and recently mounted a trolling motor and it makes it a lot easier, but still not perfect. I have a yak attack stake out pole. Felt like an idiot spending $70 on a stick and honestly still kind of feel like an idiot about it. it works ok, but just ok. i either do a scupper hole or even through a piece of bungee on the side that is for a paddle holder. if you can make one yourself for cheap or find a cheaper alternative i would look at that route. Anchor is a little grapple style 1.5# anchor. It depends on depth as to whether i would opt for the pole or the anchor, but if at all possible i opt for neither. they're just aggravation sometimes. used to have an anchor trolley and was going to install on this yak, but haven't yet and don't know that i will. problem is with it on one side, makes you want a trolley on both sides. have never done the drag chain, but many i know use one with some success, but again not perfect. never used the drift sock, don't know anyone that has. and again with darren on the clip and rope. i have about 8-10' with a carabiner on one end and one of those odd looking tree branch grabber things found at about any boating accessory aisle but any type of clamp would likely work. of all the methods listed, this is my favorite when it can be employed. it's the easiest, quitest and quickest way for me. last but not least, if it's just too d**n windy to even start, i usually fish from the bank or find something else to do for the day. as fun as it is to fish from the yak, a day with some bad winds can nearly ruin it for me.

Is A Shimano Stella Worth The Money
i know you are and i truly appreciate it! i just don't pay attention to fine details like that so it doesn't bother me, but i completely get it. all that said, my red cumara/chronarch ci4+ are a sweet looking pair both with that dark red. also the lew's TP/daiwa tatula rod are a pretty nice looking pair as are the lew's bb1/tatula pair. i've just never put enough thought in at the time of purchase for it to be a consideration. i'm typically application first/price second/all else last. now all that said, the stella would probably look good on any rod!!! that twin power looks amazing too though, probably couldn't go wrong here if you have that kind of coin to spend....

Is A Shimano Stella Worth The Money
man i started a thread on this vey topic not too very long ago and you'd be surprised. About 1/2 the people on here take color into consideration on the rod/reel purchase.... i'm with you, doesn't matter, but to many it does.

You Know You Have A Fishing Problem When...
get ~150 yards of 10lb braid sucked into an industrial fan rotor in the garage..... last night..... like an idiot.....

Kayak Bass Fishing!
i use mine to sit down more than stand up.... it really helps to ease you down into the seat and not have a miss that sends you for a swim.... i rarely ever use it to stand though.

Spincast Reel
slightly more than your $40 (they are around $55), but the Daiwa goldcast is hard to beat. My dad had his first one for about 15 years and just got his second one about 2 years ago. he fishes them pretty hard and hasn't had the first issue with either of them.

Snake
my neighbor came over last night to show me the 3' copperhead he just killed in his backyard..... no thanks!

What Your Favorite High End Spinning Reel In The $200 Range?
patriarch is a nice reel but not much different than the lower priced supreme MGX i have as well. haven't fished the others, but don't see $200 value in the patriarch (luckily i didn't pay that much!)
