the cut-r worm works pretty well for me, just cut it about in half or so.... i got some a while back on a crazy deal like $1.75 a pack or something and have been using them as swim jig trailers with some success

i was able to go to game 1 here in Atlanta and it was a pretty poor showing from the Hawks....

i had one in the lake all weekend with a slice of bread and not one minnow.... i was really wanting to snag some minnows for crappie fishing this past weekend, but that didn't seem to work out. as a kid, we'd put the same setup in the creek in front of my house and have dozens or more in a day's time. i think i'll have to set it in the creek or river somewhere next time i want some live bait....

i've been snagged numerous times even while trolling from the rear flush mounts and never sent a rod overboard that way yet.... couldn't agree more with John that the extra cords are a serious hazard not to mention a PITA.

well for what was really my first exposure to some salt water fishing (i grew up in the appalachians far from any salt) i had a great time. i can see the appeal for sure. i'd really like to make my way back down here and hit the flats. back to bass this weekend.....

chris, it was close.... maybe landing one would have sealed the deal for me! they did put up a nice fight though, no doubt about it.

yeah we were trolling until we found them, then started tossing at them with some smaller spinning gear. it was a first for me. lots of fun, plenty of action. i still like my bass fishing though.....

we went out Tarpon fishing Tue night and hooked a few, but couldn't land them. got bit off by a dozen barracudas. Then yesterday we went out and tore it up on the Mahi. Honestly, not as fun as bass fishing for me, but the fights were great. Thanks for the info fellas.

i need to go and lose a bunch of the ones i already have so i can justify buying some new ones.... on sale.....

no freakin' clue man. i'm salt water illiterate and don't do so well with the motion so there's no telling what may go down. my boss that has the house and boat there knows what he's doing so at least there's a guide of sorts....

any other suggestions for spending about 6 hours a day?? this place is great.... good info, good reads, good videos.... it's all good!

Going to be in Key West starting tomorrow through Friday AM and wandering if any bass fishing in the area? I'll be somewhere very close to Geiger Key. I'm going out in the salt a little while I'm there, but would also like to take a shot at one of those FL monsters if at all possible. Thanks!

just figured out that i scored 1268 points in this event (top finisher overall had 1292 so i was close!!) it looks like i won the week in some of the groups i'm in too!! 3rd in the ORCA coolers contest, should win a cooler! 1st in the gambler lures group, don't know what that means and 1st in the gator tackle co group, don't know what that means..... hope to get some sweet prizes out of this!

i really don't remember, but was somewhere in that orange range.... i couldn't believe how well that lineup did! hoping for a repeat at havasu....
