i'm pretty sure i suffer from shopping A.D.D. i say this because i went to siebert outdoors to maybe snag a couple swim jigs, then i see some awesome looking dredge jigs with rubber only skirts, then i remember i wanted to get a few more of the mata dredge jigs in a couple colors i was lacking........ so my check out a couple swim jigs plan turns into yet another purchase...... are there meds for this?

i went out on the 1st and had some decent luck, caught 3 and one was a 4.5er... that was in 47 degree water. couldn't really seem to locate any active fish last week? not sure what the deal was. i'll be back there this sunday and hope to put this skunk out of it's misery....

i am for once seriously not being a smart*** here, but am asking a somewhat rhetorical question. if this were true, would it not mean that every fish landed by means of "lipping" it would have been subjected to the jaw breakage? i'm just saying that i've never landed one with two hands because the other hand is typically on the rod. granted my "bigger" fish typically go in the net (also fishing in a kayak). just saying that i agree with the premise of managing them better when out of the water, but am also a bit skeptical like some others here of the vertical hold. the horizontal/45 degree holds are what are painful for me to look at. the iaconelli type shots of holding it by the jaw to jam the largemouth into the camera lens is ridiculous and is my idea of bad management.

if standing, i typically lean down and lip them. i feel like you, boat flipping would one day be literally me flipping the boat. i'm in a ride 135 and feel very comfortable leaning down or even plopping back down in the seat to land one. if i hook a big one, i may sit down and snag the net, but generally just lip them.

i'd suggest a sample pack of siebert jigs, can't really go wrong there

that is awesome!! i used to skip school a lot my senior year in high school and go to the local bowling alley. my mom's family were part owners and i could usually bowl for free during the day. best score i ever had was a 207 and thought that game looked like a highlight reel!! now i'm lucky to get above 125. i really can't imagine seeing all 3 of these games, you crushed it man!

frankly i was inclined to just agree with you the whole way til you get to that last part and your wife's comment. seems totally cute, feel like you got the last laugh, but your daughter saw how your wife acted under stress. as an adult, and more so as a parent, you shouldn't let petty things like this get you to a point to stoop to a lower level in front of a kid. can't dispute the lady was wrong in how you describe the scene, but the high road is always the right road, especially when setting an example for a kid.

caught this 4.5lber 2 weeks ago on a siebert outdoors swimjig. fishing it in the same places i would normally toss a spinnerbait.

everytime i check my powerball numbers i have the same feeling.....
