  1. i actually prefer the MH for walking the frog and casting it as well. like you, i don't fish the thickest slop and it works just fine for me.
  2. fluke is my preferred bait on the fish heads
  3. just saw a post on facebook about them. looks like a decent idea that would save the baits from getting wrecked, but wondered how well the worm would hold in there.
  4. watched the whole video just hoping there was a "but wait there's more" i don't think billy mays could even sell that garb
  5. SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH i was trying to keep it under wraps.... wacky rigged banana = donkey kong sized bass!!
  6. saw it in action yesterday and really liked how you can just stop and go with it unlike a buzzbait that will sink when you pause!
  7. based on other rods i've seen you build, those will be some lucky winners!!
  8. i agree with those who have said it doesn't change the feel. i have sealed all of mine with u40 and noticed no difference in feel, but definitely stays cleaner with the sealant.
  9. crown royal sprite
  10. honestly, it's your fault if you let your family on this site... nothing but degenerates and liars... all of us!
  11. ummmmmm easy for me.... HEELS and HEELS!!!!! if they play like they did against the Irish, they're unbeatable no doubt about it. If they play like they did in the ACC conf title game, they're beatable, no doubt about that!
  12. very cool man, keep up the good work
  13. echoing what has already been said. the kayak won't hold water if draining through the scupper holes so you have no fear of sitting water. but i do get a splash from time to time from my paddle, which may be bad technique or something on my part, who knows. as far as cold weather goes, dress appropriately and i'll fish in any temp that mother nature allows. i have some ski/snowboard pants that work very well for me when paddling in colder weather. honestly, what gets coldest when paddling/fishing cold weather are my hands.
  14. like darren said, factor in a quality life jacket you'll wear and a paddle. i used to have the sit in ascend fs10 and other than the fact i wanted a sit on top, it was a great kayak for the money. the seat wasn't bad either. if you can look around and wait a bit, check craigslist often and you might run across a good deal on a used one.
  15. seems that's about how it goes! beginners luck i suppose!
  16. I enter these giveaways all the time and then walk away never expecting a win.... BUT this time I actually won something! Some Flambeau Ultimate Tuff Tainers! Hope this luck carries through this weekend when in Vegas!! http://www.scout.com/outdoors/wired2fish/story/1650897-flambeau-waterproof-tackle-storage-winners
  17. pretty sure that's a rage rod, not an avid, that model you listed is a rage model for sure.
  18. i have that model tatula and love it, super all around rod. can't comment on the powell though.
  19. anyone know why they held them for 1 hour? "Nests were fished and caught bass were safely stored away for 60 minutes before being returned."
  20. pitch a tent in the backyard? i don't want to intrude! but yeah, just give me a general idea of where in AZ so i know where to look at buying a house!
  21. my kayak is pretty dam reliable and trouble free!
  22. don't know on the HT enterprise, but i believe those KVD crankin rods were over $100 retail when i saw them. i'd say great find!
  23. i see what you did there, nautical jokes!
  24. Very good suggestions there on the lightning rod and president. I'd look at a medium power/fast action rod somewhere between 6'6" and 7' i currently own 2 of the lightning shock spinning rods and they are very hard to beat for the money. And i'd agree that the 30 size president would be a nice match, cannot go wrong on the Pflueger spinning reels, i have 4 myself and love them. That setup would serve you well for years to come!
