  1. i have 8# yozuri hybrid. i know a little light, but has a breaking strength closer to 12#
  2. I finally watched it last night and he had me laughing too... he was a trip!
  3. i've been cranking on 12lb invizx and it does the job well for me
  4. agreed and agreed. i think old Chad is just making it up as he goes and trying to put some money in his pocket as he does... but never mind that ego trip and just go fish and maybe even make some money doing it! good luck to you!
  5. i bet they're told to be like that because they all act like queen's guards! also, i think they film like multiple days in a row with the same officials each day it looks like. i guess after a few days of riding around watching someone else fish i might be a little jealous and hardened too!
  6. really easy to do, but don't waste any time/money on a second coat, it does absolutely nothing.
  7. YakAttack Cellblok. a little pricey, but i drilled ZERO holes and can remove my whole set up in about 10 seconds....
  8. 10 or 15lb power pro braid to 8lb invizx leader has been serving me very well. i prefer the braid because it's so easy to manage the line.
  9. don't have a pic, but my favorite is my old school flat brim hat from a tackle shop in NW Montana where i was born. The not-world famous Booze-N-Bait. It's a collectors item in my mind so i never wear it. Once i get my man room in full swing it'll be a wall hanger.
  10. i agree on take her with you.... she'll either love it or leave you to it! mine left me to it!
  11. the old trusty panther martin 1/8 oz black/yellow dots gold blade kept the skunk off my back this weekend....

    I don't know but I'd say like 50+
  13. I have a dobyns 704cb glass for shallow and medium cranks 12 lb fluoro It casts the lighter baits much better. However in cover or deeper I will use my tatula 6'10" mh/f with 15lb big game.
  14. You picked some nice colors there! Mike's a great guy to do business with.
  15. we hit 1-4 here in Atlanta last week before the first flurry ever fell.... and unfortunately that's not a joke....
  16. i got a cheap vise on amazon for like $15 or so and it seems to help me. i just started tying myself, but the vice holds it well and lets me set just how i want it. i do one turn with the wire, but not tight, just to hold the skirts down while i get them just how i want. then a couple wraps and tighten it down....
  17. saw a pro throwing one the other day and it peaked my interest. although he did talk about how it made it more difficult to cast accurately so that's a downside for me....
  18. R O B O W O R M
  19. they don't allow nets in bassmaster nor MLF and that's why you see most of them boat flipping. I don't fish tournaments, but if i did, i would have a hard time with the net deal. if for whatever reason the guy holding the net messes it up, i would want to have no hard feelings towards them or vice versa and would not want it to effect the fishing that day.... i actually was thinking about this last night while watching some of the FLWs i had on the DVR. and i like to lip them too, but i also carry a net. and if i'm fishing trebles i'm a little apprehensive on sticking my fingers in there while they're all squirrelly! GET THE NET!
  20. i have an older model zillion i received in a trade with a site member. I would say it is very comparable to my tatula rod. In all honesty, my tatula even feels a bit lighter in my hands. I really like the zillion for what i'm using it for (jigs and worms) but if i were looking at these 2 rods side by side i would take the tatula and save the money. again, this was the older version zillion. cannot comment on the newest generation.
  21. Mike at @Delaware Valley Tackle is where you want to send them. EXCELLENT service!
