  1. my chronarch ci4+ is on a megabass orochi xx i just got for what you're describing. haven't used it enough for a good review, but they feel great together.
  2. one thing to consider is what gear you're going to throw these on. some of these deep divers are 1+ ounces.
  3. like catt, rule #1 is a permission slip from the boss. Then, in order: wind water clarity water temp
  4. WHOA! where'd you find those!!
  5. both, plus green pumpkin! clearest water = green or PBJ stained water = PBJ or black/blue Muddiest water = black/blue
  6. demand? been a while since i took any economics classes, but i'd say that with such demand you can command a higher price....
  7. even on "braid ready spools" i'll put a little bit on there, just makes me a little more confident about no slippage...
  8. congrats Bill!!
  9. 1-4 lb mono equivalent in diameter is 8-15lb braid what equivalent diameter size leader would you be tying with 3-5lb braid? do they make a 1/4lb mono?
  10. I LIKE THE MEGABASS DOG X
  11. 10# will be just fine.... it's the equivalent of 2lb mono which i'd definitely consider ultralight line.
  12. if you're truly a beginner, go get some cheap mono and get used to the reel.... you'll save some money in the backlashes you'll be cutting out... get some 12# trilene big game and practice til your arms fall off. when you're good with the reel, then step up the line. a great all around for me is 30lb braid with leader of choice or no leader at all, just depending on the bait and conditions.
  13. i don't fish tournaments, but do fish for 6-8 hours at a time from the yak. i usually take some jerky, granny smith apples and whatever chips or crackers i can find in the pantry. usually have plenty of water too.
  14. my brother has a pond prowler, same deal, and it is fantastic!! i fished from a canoe all the time as a kid. this raider will feel like fishing on solid ground vs the canoe!
  15. lake norman, nc at dusk my dog on the old inflatable when he was little pup! the dog on his first swim and actually not a lake, but a fish house near tampa, fl
  16. i "think" one goal is going to be to fish a tournament of some kind this year, either draw or a kayak tournament just to see if i like it. my real goal is to dial in on my depth finder and really figure out how to use it to my benefit rather than just having a screen to look at!
  17. wind, but if you fish in a kayak you know how miserable that can be. if it's windy, i'll hit the ponds. lightning, no thanks, no way, not a chance in he**..... and as a lifelong migraine sufferer i can cope, but have been nearly headache free for a year now after my neurologist put me on a daily dose! still get them, but went from weekly migraine to i think maybe 3 of them in the last year!!!!! see yo doc!!
  18. roboworm is hard to beat
  19. i have a lowrance 4x HDI on my kayak and wish i had bought one with GPS. i rarely if ever find myself using the downscan, but i can't count how many times i would have liked to drop a waypoint and wish i had the option to do so!
  20. uni to uni works just fine for me
  21. i don't know, i'm saying Deak nailed it..... and GO BRONCOS!
  22. weak for the most part.... but i did like the Heinz commercial with all the dachsunds, that was great!
  23. on the Chattahoochee river here in GA, the scrounger head with a fluke will catch stripers and black bass. i always fish one when on the river, but oddly enough have only caught black bass on it. i've been with buddies that catch striped bass on the same setup right beside me, but not me for some reason or other???
  24. sorry to hear that man! keep an eye on the flea market section here, great gear available sometimes!
  25. of those 3, the president every time. for less than $100 (as in $99) you go up to the pflueger supreme which is a very fine reel.
