  1. red label is a pretty solid line for the money. i steer away from fluoro that begins with a "V" (vicious, vanish)
  2. spellcheck my man.... free and easy. will come in very handy one day if you decide to sit down and write out a fishing resume to present to potential sponsors.
  3. saw that story yesterday, what an accomplishment! i'd say his guide service picks up this year!
  4. i caught a little shakespeare ultralight from under someone's dock last year. fully rigged up with float and split shots and all.... after i got it in the kayak, i paddled over and gently placed it on the dock it came out of... i assume some homeowner got a laugh about the rod they lost that came back!
  5. i must have misread it as ned rig..... sorry. neko rig, i haven't used much, but was using the zoom trick worm or the netbait t mac
  6. there are quite a few of us on here...
  7. did you try searching for the answer to your question before you posted it?
  8. Zman TRD is hard to beat. I've also used a torn half of a senko or torn half of a cut r worm, but prefer the TRDs.
  9. i did too... last year's offerings were incredible. i've yet to see anything this year that catches my eye as too good to pass up....
  10. yeah, my heater has been going in and out for the last couple days. going to be at least one more day of it too as the part to fix it won't get here until tomorrow....
  11. given that LA is the 2nd biggest TV market, i can't believe it's taken this long for someone to get back there... It's all about the money....
  12. i only fished juliette once and it was quite a while ago. i like the idea of the campground too, that's perfect for me. i guess the next time i'm around high falls i may have to head back towards the creek and find said stump field!! also, if you google bass clubs around atlanta, there are a few of them that come up. you may try it and go from there. you could also check out some of the popular jon boat clubs around the area. either way, good luck to you!
  13. hey man, not in a club, nor very close, but welcome! i've fished high falls a couple times and really enjoyed it there. each time i put in at buck creek (i'm 95% sure that's the name). i think twice i went towards the interstate and did not do all that well. last time i went towards the main lake and had a banner day. i fish from the kayak so i didn't cover that much water. anyways, welcome wish i was only 2 mins from that lake!
  14. LOL, that's how you'd know they were a hipster....
  15. couldn't agree more... i'm not a big fan of college football so it takes a good game to keep my attention. a good game it was too.... one of those games where i felt like both sides deserved a win.
  16. i'd probably look for a new neighborhood.... but a thought: if someone really did try to kick that thing in and say with enough force to bend that conduit, it will foul that thing in there so bad you'd have to cut it to open the door.... now $5 became $500.
  17. if i remember correctly it was like the last week of january/first week of february last year.... i found quite a few great deals. my last few trips around here have not been very good though. i'll have to do another sweep soon and see if anything has changed!
  18. doorbell?
  19. i lucked out like j and don't have to worry too much as i have a wilderness ride with the replaceable piece.... it's a matter of time for me, like you i'm not the most gentle when it comes to loading and unloading....
  20. hootie, did the reels/spools come in or with a case like this? i found one in the stash of gear my grandmother gave me that used to belong to my granddad. i was told it was for the spool on the mitchell reels.....
  21. yes, BPS usually has the "spring classic" i wouldn't consider it much of a sale though... certainly nothing to make me want to drive to the store.
  22. all personal preference, but i don't have a rod over 7' long. i've tried, but did not like anything longer than 7'.
  23. i've never heard of any of those types of restrictions.... i think rigging up the yak is half the sport for many guys....
