Dip the first 2 inches in plasti dip you get at Lowe’s or similar.

When you try over a dozen of the other brands, having to sell them off each time for a loss and finally find a company that offers what you’ve been looking for... it’s an easy switch to make.

All my rods are Megabass. Most are the Orochi xx series. Their unique tapers allows me to use them for multiple techniques. They have so many series new and old, plus all the limited rods available you could spend years trying them and still not reach the end.

They did the same thing with the SV103. Still considered a really dumb move by a lot of people. We don’t run the company though. I’m unsure of the answer if it’s all variants or just the base model. Release should be around the classic.

Got word the tatula ct will be discontinued and replaced with another model. Also a limited tatula spinning reel will be out but not available from TW or big box stores. 2 new gear ratios for the Steez A will come out. A 5.x.1 and a 8.x.1

From what I’ve been told by an insider is the rods will stay the same except the guides. They will take away a few models and a few models will be added. If you wait you’ll be paying full price for the same rod basically. I’d say it definitely falls in between a 3 and 4 power. I believe TTT has them in stock now. Great guys to deal with.

Power wise I’d say they are close but the dsr has a touch less power, or at least it feels like it due to the softer taper. Iirc mine balances on the edge of the cork lockdown nut. I can verify that tomorrow.

I would say ok if you don’t mind a 7’2 rod to do so. Way too long for me but if you back the drag off it should be fine.

I use mine to pitch to cover,frogs, and c rigs. I don’t fish water over 20ft so my experience is limited but it works well for 1/2oz jig with trailer in 20’ of water.

For $185-195 you can get a $300 Orochi xx from the guys over at The Tackle Trap right now. Brand new with full 3yr warranty. That’s a hard deal to beat for that rod. Especially considering they sell for about $190-220 used until this came along. Call and talk to Brian. He will get you all taken care of.

DSR is softer and works great as a big single hook rod. I also throw the plopper 110 on it a lot. I’ve used it for tubes with 1/8 jig head and weightless 5” senkos. Works good for squarebills too. It has enough backbone for lighter bottom contact stuff also. Though the emtf is a better choice for that technique. The SBS has a faster taper and makes a good all purpose rod that’s under 7ft. It’s like a shorter emtf to me. I’ve used it for everything mentioned above at one point in time. I like it so much I picked up a second one a couple months ago. If I had to pick 4 must haves to cover my bases in my area they’d be... perfect pitch emtf or sbs if you prefer shorter rods dsr jbs

The PP has a better tip than the TV but more power. Definitely a must have out of the lineup. Should definitely be sticking around.

Looking at my two, they appear to be the same length. My favorite one out of the XX lineup. So much so that I have two. Good all purpose rod. MB products are excluded on TW sales except for this one. All dealers have permission to sell them at $100 off. It’s a great deal right now. Like you said they usually go for about $200 used. The tour versatile was one of the least liked rods that I had in the XX lineup. The perfect pitch would be a good replacement for it. The spinnerbait special or emtf is a good all purpose rod.

Yes, and the same .014 equals #12 big game. Lines vary, especially Sunline products. I use their #14 Sniper FC a lot. Good stuff.

Won’t hurt how it fishes at all but is unacceptable to me for a $500 rod.

Cxx runs big so whatever size you but it’ll basically be the next size up. 10=12 It’s nice for leader line but is awful as a main line. It’s got more coils than a slinky.

My friends shipping was $175 on his rod. Unfortunately, the proxy service I used can charge you whatever they want.

That’s not always true. I’ve ordered several rods from yahoo japan and never paid any fees other than the ridiculous shipping charges. They all have came by way of FedEx since they exceed size restrictions for other shipping companies. The last rod I got was a Megabass X7 and the shipping was $157. Luckily I won the auction for so cheap that it was still a steal on it even after shipping.

The Megabass X7 extreme mission would be a good choice. The problem is finding one. Nrx rods have been known to not balance all that great. I’ve also heard about build quality not being the best. Just look into the exact rod a bit. The new glx rods are very close to the nrx. The new conquest hasn’t been out long enough to have many reviews. Why not a custom built exactly how you want it?

As long as the seller has a 95% or more positive feedback then I don’t worry. Especially if it’s from a store and not an individual. As mentioned paypal is pretty good with buyer disputes.
