Ahhhh.....today.. Bagel sands....can octopus...crackers....water...couple small diet cokes...couple boiled eggs..candy bar. This is for boater too. P.S. Like to just sit and look around and take a break...

Temps 56 in morning coming up to 60. Fishing was pretty good....my ol boss does not...not...like to fish plastics....his dad is better. Had a good five hours....they will learn. Felt good to get em out of back of boat.

Gosh….really never though I would be doing this that much...I mean fishing from the back of boat....especially when I have a new one in the garage. Vexus 1880... This morning the ol body is kind of shakey...not sure why....chemo...steroids...blood sugars…."C" word ...don't want to dwell on it so thought would take my mind off a bit and chat. Having my first cup and getting ready to go to the lake with my ol boss and his dad....awesome. They got some new tackle and want to check it out and invited me...humbled. Going to take two rods.....WOW...a first. A senko and a senko rigged two ways. I've been doing pretty amazing with these baits since the no treble rule....learning some patience in my fishing...not a strong suit to be sure. Went yesterday too....strength has been good …. soooooo. Fishing was good yesterday and the water warmed almost five degrees....fishing just got better and better...nothing big...but lots of tugs. Imagine the lake will have a bunch of people today....air temps in the high seventy's. Water temps in mid sixty's. May your be blessed

Looks like next Tuesday from five o'clock to eight thirty or nine the evening tourneys will start...They be opening ramp. They be small but going to stay my distance and let the fun begin. Will see how many I get in.....Time with son....time on water....time with great thoughts.....

I figure I'm blessed to get out out.....Doc said it's the new me so have to be careful. Depth perception is not good...not good at all. But am running front of boat with a seat....once in awhile free standing. Yesterday son and I fished for about three and a half hours...….AMAZING....just....AMAZING. Chatterbait…..nada...spinnerbait...two I believe....boy did they push it....OMG...so fun to feel. I call em "stinking Senko's"....25 plus....mostly small bucks...did I care....not a bit....not a bit. Don't believe we had anything over two and a half...I won candy bar. I leave a lot of room for the back of boat....especially with son and he wasn't even getting a bite fishing them Texas style....I was no weight whacky....So after about six or seven releases he changes and life is good....more good...goooder. Kind of funny too...they wanted the fives over fours. I'm glad brain is processing this...do love catching. Praise God once again.

Going to be hard....very. Decided the last time I was blessed to get out that I am going to keep all hard baits out of the tackle bag and boat bag. With my vision compromised this is probably a safe idea. Will miss em…..I've got a lot....believe me...but the ol spinnerbait and chatterbait will have to work overtime. Will probably fish a plain fluke more too....haven't done this one much. It's not that I can't see the baits....they just go in and out of vision...crazy....my Son is taking me out this eve so will be fun....New adventures in the forecast. Just don't want to take any un necessary chances. Tight Lines all

Been raining here and things are quiet....I went outside during a break and in my shaky ways decided to burn a lot of branches and old wood. Well...got it burning well with the aid of Citronella .... this stuff doesn't flare and seems to work well on wet wood. Anyway...out there by the fire....wife and her sister left to observe from the windows and comfort of the home. Rain came...Was standing there just soaking it in you my say.....was awesome...reminded me of why I like fishing in the rain...so so peaceful. Now I'm wishing I could drive so I could go fishing..... Can't have it all......:) May your day be blessed.

When I lived in Oregon and fished the upper Columbia it got windy....many times had to work our way through the wind and whitecaps and then work our way back. Patience and paying attention was key...did we still get wet...OH....Yeah. Was fishing good....Oh yeah....competition.....minimal.
