  4. The stella works fine in salt because it is coated...just like every other reel...
  5. What is your fav hollow froggy? I can find a fav between the koppers, bronze eye and pad crasher lol
  6. I get the same looks at one of local lakes...then they get all wide eyed when i yank out a five lb bass. There is a reason those bass in that lake get chunky quick and that reason is stocked trout lol. I love watchin people look at me like im nuts when i throw a big old trout colored swimbait lol

  8. I think you may change your mind once the pads and slop get heavier. Or you could exchange it for a 7ft Mh (insert fav brand here) rod and have a rod cable of doing most things well...i would exchange the 6'8 before the frog rod...thats just me though
  9. Gan Craft or Megabass... Seriously, there are many good choices in your budget. Go to the nearest fishing joint and handle some rods and reels and find one that fits ya best shimano, lews, abu, BPS, diawa are good to go as far as reels. Same goes for rods only add the names st croix, 13, and fenwick to the above list

  11. I have two premiers and a triumph and i like the premiers waaaaaaaaaay more and the triumph doesnt suck by any means
  12. I love flouro...however, i too started with Red Label and while it works fine it is rather stiff (especially in 20#) neen there lol. I went to invisx and it is much better, i also got some tatsu and all i can say is Wow!. It just takes a alittle time to get used to thats all. The invisx and tatsu are much more friendly
  13. I know ive boated 100+ lb tarpon on 30lb braid Yet i have 40lb for certain bass apps lolol
  14. The tourny pro is one sweet reel...especially for that price! I have one on sr croix legend and absolutely love it!!!

  16. I usually set to a ten o clock position with enough force to cause the fish to get a concussion...if the fish heads rihht at me i go to 12 o clock

  22. No but i foul hooked a 20+lb carp with a crankbait once...that sucker took some drag right quick let me tell ya!
  23. I know this yankee got a lot of strange looks when i was prowling the flats for tailing reds with a baitcaster lol I prefer BC gear but i do have a couple spinning rigs. A stradic, symetre for drop shots and bank fishing in small ponds and rivers. Oh and a sedona for trout lol
