  1. Dtack, I noticed that too. The back half leading to the paddle is thinner too. It had great action but I guess all of those paddle tails would be close enough. Thanks for looking everbody.
  2. Ok...thanks.
  3. I use Arkies for everything. Usually blk/blue 1/2 oz. Pitch, drag, hop, swim, etc. I don't know why other jigs were made, lol.
  4. Ok...here's the pic.
  5. I was out today and found this snagged on a tree. I tied it on and it looked great. I didn't fish it because I was on a good jig bite pitchin to standing timber but I would like to buy a pack. Thanks
  6. Fish Sticks...comes in a tube like chap stick. No messes and it really sticks to the lure.
  7. C-rig or T-rig
  8. I've tried several and when I tried mojo weights I quit trying others. Use a swivel or parasite clip to keep your lure in place and that rig will come through almost anything.
  9. Thanks to everybody, I'm fishing a charity tournament for an 8 y/o with cancer this weekend so I'm going today to pick up more worms and hooks.
  10. I've been using a T Rig 3/16 oz..with 10.5 inch Ole Monster from Zoom. I don't know the diameter. This setup in Plum Apple has been on fire for me. Caught my PB (from that lake) two nights ago. I'm hooking most..just was curious if I should try something other than EWG.
  11. Really dude? Where did that come from?
  12. Thanks guys. I just started throwing that bigger worm and my bites are going up...but so are my misses.
  13. What hook do you guys use on a 10 in worm? 5/0 or 4/0?, Offset vs Straight? EWG vs Round? What brand? Thanks....
  14. I see the same thing here.
  15. I pull the trigger pretty quick but there are times when I do the same thing.. feel a little bump when moving the jig and then I'll lift up to "weigh" it. Not anymore...I'm swinging.
  16. Great video..my take aways from this video are set the hook any time something feels different and I need to start fishing for schooling bass more instead of loners. Thanks Raul.
  17. I've been using the green pumpkin Power Worm but I hear the bait monkey knocking.
  18. The swimming t-rig strikes again...different lake...similar results. Still playing with weight size, but I'm liking this "new" technique.
  19. [quote name="tcbass" post="1564213" timestamp="1404319111" Here's a trick I saw in Outdoor Life magazine. Slide one end of a barrel swivel into your line and then tie your hook. Hook the first part of your tube/bait and then put the other end of the barrel over the hook point and pull it down. Now finish putting on your bait. The barrel swivel should prevent it from sliding down and if you added a weight to the line first it will stop the weight from hitting your knot.
  20. Yeah...certainly didn't catch any size, but went from one fish after a few hours of fishing to a dozen or more real quick just by swimming it.
  21. I've fished this thing for over 20 years hopping and dragging around and have caught a lot of fish...but I found a little pattern the other evening that makes me think I've been missing out. I had on a light 3/16 oz weight, 7 inch worm and was doing a steady retrieve. Speed was based on depth, but kept in close to bottom. No stops, hops...just steady cranking. Anybody else fish one like that?
  22. Lately the T-rig has been on so I'll go with that.
  23. About 23 years ago, a friend of mine's dad showed us a Texas rig. Sunday I was out throwing that same rig on that same lake and it's only thing I caught keepers on. I use it and a jig year round. I can't tell you why one works over the other but sometimes it seems that way. Sometimes they both work and sometimes a crankbait will smoke both of them. I alternate between a slow drag and a quicker hop until I get bit.
