  1. yea don's amazing. we saw him heading in an asked how he did. when he said around 30 pounds we thought for sure he was going to win. that guy is a flipping machine.
  2. we actually caught fish on everything we threw. pitchin jigs to clumps, big ez, and big worms. a lot of guys were to far inside. we found our better fish on the outside lines and in the middle.
  3. left saturday morning @4am and decided to fish a little tourny in belle glade. came in 5th with a 7 pounder. 2,3, and 4th place were all mcmillans. brandon had a 9.15 and jared had an 8. burke won with 25+ pounds. caught a mess of fish. sunday was the 3rd round of the kotg. had just under 19 pounds with a six pounder. missed two five pounders that would of put us around 23 pounds. lots of fish on the lake now. here is a pic of the 7 pounder on saturday.
  4. 12.05 @ 1pm. be careful.
  5. i fished sunday from 1-5. don't go north. those barricades are still there and i was told they closed off the canal by the highschool. i fished out west by the second spillway in the open water and caught a mess of fish. biggest was 3 pounds. i had a guy idle over to me and ask if i could snap a photo of a fish he caught. i did. it was a solid 6 pounder. he said he caught another one close to 5 and a 4 pounder. he caught all of his fish on topwater.
  6. thanks for the heads up lee about being deleted. it would have been nice to get a pm from a mod letting me know, but now i know.
  7. what happened to my kotg/gambler thread? was it deleted?
  8. fished this morning and did well. hope it holds.
  9. right on lee. is that warmer in the first pic?
  10. i played hookey from school today. i need one of those days every now and then. i am not fishing bass busters, mike might, but i have my club tourny at the holey lands. how did you guys end up doing on sunday after i left?
  11. put in at slims at 6:15. super foggy and chilly. ran to a spot in the rim ditch and caught 6 fish on a trap. ran to buzzards and caught fish on the outside and inside. lots of unoccupied beds. saw a bunch of big fish moving through the vegetation after we spooked them. went to the shoal and it was loaded with boats. fished that eel grass out front and caught another half dozen fish with the biggest being 3 pounds. ran north to cochrans and saw even more beds. the females were not locked yet, but they were near because they kept taking off as we got too close. very spooky fish. caught a bunch there with the biggest again at 3 pounds. went to the east wall and could not believe the amount of beds. i dont know when the females will be locked, but it has to be soon.because they were near, but very skittish. caught a bunch there with two 4 pounders. the lake is low, so take extra caution. had close to 18 pounds today but it could have been a lot better. this weekend and next week should continue to be hot.
  12. congrats bilgerat. obviously you and your wife raised a great young lady. the first of many acceptances i'm sure.
  13. we weighed in just under 10 pounds. we caught a boat load of fish, but nothing big. my pal bobby and tony won with 18+ pounds with big fish. they missed second big fish by a couple of ounces. the boat traffic was crazy. i can't wait for next months qualifier at the lake. i am fishing a tourny at the holey lands on sunday. haven't been out there in a couple of months. we'll see.
  14. i believe that is the seven mile ditch. i ran through it about a month ago. there is one area that was sketchy, but still doable. as far as the license goes, i think they are the same price no matter where you get it from. like bob said, check online for the license. that is where i got mine. i got the 5 year one and saved a little cash.
  15. 21 pounds won on sunday and then went down to 13+ and third was 11+. i put in at the park at 11:30 and fished until 5. fished the L68 and caught 3 small fish flippin. decided to run to the fingers and got blanked. water was ripping to the south. ran to the alley and had 15 pounds in an hour. fished the four corners with a big worm and caught 2 small fish. fished the L68A and caught a huge mudfish flippin. called it a day.
  16. right on dale. no matter who you are with, i am sure you will learn something new.
  17. not true at all. i have caught them on senkos. if you annoy them long enough, they will hit anything.
  18. right on dale. super session!
  19. yo dale, pm me with some info on osbourne. i have a tourny sunday. i plan on going south, but i am fishing cold. no prefish time because of kotg.
  20. im with rw. when the pointer bite is on, NO other bait catches more fish. 20 bucks goes a looooooong way with that bait.
  21. hank and skip took first place with 18 and change. one of the hicks brothers came in second with 15 and change. i think third was 14 and change and mike paid out six spots. we had 12.25 and came in 10th. my partner and i have qualified for the classic the last 2 years by points. we were culling by 9 am but just couldn't get a big bite. saw about a half dozen 4-6 pound females just cruising looking for the right bed. caught most of our fish on dippers and senkos.

as did i. thanks robert. the greg allman interview is cool. not to mention the smokin hot girls on every other page.
  23. i will see you out there kevin. i'm glad you are fishing the kotg series this year. there will be some amazing everglades anglers out there. i have found a couple of spots that netted me between 13-15 pounds, but i have yet to find the big ones. hopefully sunday i will. good luck to everyone fishing it. i will talk to you on sunday kevin.
  24. agreed. i hate the jets, but i have total respect for the pats (even though i hate them as well). i don't see ANY team beating the pats. brady is incredible and belicheck is a fricken genius. i just hope my dolphins can right their ship and make us fans happy.
