right on fourbizz. that was amazing! i am not into fly fishing, but i believe i could give that a go.

i don't know what kind of reel you are going to bring, but also discuss the importance of the braking system. if you bring a shimano, you can actually take one side off to show the brakes. also look at the owners manual and use proper terminology to describe each piece of the reel. you can kill time by explaining each item in laymans term, so everyone will kind of get an idea what you are talkin about. i loved my public speaking classes in college and in high school. good luck.

so what you are saying, is that your grandparents did a bad job raising your uncle? no disrespect, but isn't behavior learned? i have no idea how your uncle is raising his kids, but for a 15 year old to suggest that "it seems ALL kids are like this these days" is laughable. i have 2 kids, 4 and 6. i am responsible for MY kids and only MY kids. when i see kids acting the way you say "most kids" act, i use it as a learning tool for my own children. my mother (no dad because he split when i was 7) used to get compliments all the time about how me, my sister and brother were so well behaved. she was taught by her parents how to raise children. i learned (still learning) how to raise my kids by the way i was taught by my mom. when you have children of your own ( and hopefully not anytime soon), you will realize that raising kids is an incredibly tough job. one way you can show your uncles kids proper behavior is to model it and not judge or complain about it. you are a young man and i am sure you will someday be a great parent, but in the meantime, don't sweat the small stuff.

fished the lake again today from sun-uo till 5:30. on the way to the lake this morning my partner and i debated whether we should fish the bassbusters or not. we decided not to. this would later be a bad decision. put in at belle glade and went to the same area we went to last trip and caught a 5-12 and a 5-6 right off the bat. caught a dozen or so 2 pounders and decided to leave. we decided to try an area we have not fished in a long time, and caught a fat 5-8. within the next hour we caught a 4-10 and a bunch of fish that were solid 3 pounders. went and had lunch at rolands at 2:30 and saw all of the 31 boats coming to weigh. went back out and caught a bunch of dinks because the wind started howling. left the lake at 5:30 and called a friend who fished the bassbusters. 20 pounds won. we easily had 23+ pounds. here are 2 pics of the 5-12 and the 5-6 we caught first thing this morning. the 5-8 was hooked in the tongue, and she was bleeding pretty good, so i did not get a photo. released her immediately and she darted off. if we would have fished that tourny we probably wouldn't have done as good. who knows.

very well said. i have a 4 and 6 year old. my fishing partner has 3 older kids, 2 in college and 1 just had her first baby. he always tells me this "little kids little problems, bigger kids bigger problems". one thing is for sure, kids cost a lot of money.

It didn't! Two dinks and a big fat zero with a BAD ATTITUDE! :-[ i fished the big fish tourny at the holey lands today. caught around 30 fish, but the problem was they were all 14 inches long. i caught one 3 pounder. a 6.7 won and i believe there were 2 guys who had 5 pounders. the water is moving way to fast for any of my spots to work. fished the west canal and all of my fish were caught behind the pads on a shakey head. the 3 pounder came in the east canal on a carolina rigged ace. the water was ripping everywhere we went. tough bite.

agreed. i did see a redtail hawk swoop down and pounce on one this summer. that alone would have been amazing, but what happened next was simply incredible. a ferral cat came out of nowhere and snatched it away from the hawk. if only i had a video recorder. simply amazing.

fished from sun up till sundown. launched in belle glade and got out before freds tourny started. fished ritta and caught a couple of nice ones. worked our way to clewiston and ate lunch at rolands. after lunch ran to the monkey box and caught a bunch of 3 and 4 pounders. worked our wa south and hit west wall. and that stretch of eel grass that is just north of uncle joes cut. got caught in a mild rain storm as we headed back to belle glade. our big fish was 6.6. the pic below is her. there were 3 of us fishing on my partners new lake and bay. what a sweet ride that boat is. the big fish of the day first hit gary's spook, missed. then i threw a fluke in and she wacked it, missed. then mike threw a senko and got her. i guess you could say it was a team effort.

surf fishing is great in that area. i used to go to the outer banks every summer to surf. last summer i went and these guys staying in the house next to ours fished everymorning and crushed redfish, croakers and several other species. i didn't have time to fish, because i surfed all day.

sorry for your loss rhino. i just put my jack russell down after 15 years. my wife had to take him to the vet because i could not do it. the hardest part was consoling my six year old son who was torn apart. time will heal a hurting heart. ALL dogs go to heaven.

go bigger and fish slower. you won't get as many bites, but the bites you do get should be better fish.
